I think Oof just knows Liz too well. I tried to 7B a couple times in that video, and got hit by 66B every time.

I didn't notice the video link...so you are Zhou, I wondered who it was.

vs Vader you won, but it woulda been good to break those stuns that went into the unblockables, that's certainly not guarnateed. nice 1B blocked into steps.

vs Lizard:
you would randomly jump after being knocked down, or in order to try to avoid the unblockable groundpunch. you should really just stay down and sideroll...ground punch should miss and tremor will do zero damage. vs crawl, like i said, block something then do 1K, or if you get hit by his crawl A, try 8B, not foolproof, but if he tries to do crawl A > crawl A+K (Which he did several times) you'll beat him out.

The problem is not oof knowing liz too well, it is you not knowing lizard well enough XD

I really wasn't breaking the Vader stuns that went into the UB, probably because it was the first time I've ever seen that.

I really froze up against Liz, first it was not blocking LC A+K, then it was not blocking the B in LC A+KB, and I was jumping for no good reason, and 8Bing at all the wrong times. You are right, I gotta get to know Liz a lot better.

P.S. BTW it's Zhao not Zhou :P

other than spamming NSS against Voldo
after A+G throw.... do your standard 3B/GS B to train them to stand up immediately for another B+G/A+G throw.. because this time it'll be back throw lol.... thanks to voldo ability to get up backwards.

What's everyone's opinion on the Nightmare vs X match up? There aren't any X players local to me so I'm very unfamiliar with her. IIRC what gave me trouble at NEC was her 44B and WS A+B on wake, it seems to me that her AA would be a problem when setting up side steps.

lol yeah, not too many people have an interest in X in this game it seems. The problem I find is that X's 44B makes NM's good Ks a bit risky, and that just makes her As better. There surely are ways around that, but I just can't really think of anything off the top of my head. Perhaps after NH 1K > B+K we can check for 44B, and use GS A or NSS bA against it? That kinda sounds silly.

how is nightmare's 11K doing against her 44B? nighmare's 11K almost always hits Amy's 44B, which is a similar move. if nothing else you've always got 6B:B and 33B to hit her out of it.

I did some quick testing vs X:

NM 11K will beat X 44B at point blank range if X is at -8 or worse
NM 11K will lose to X 44B at NM 1K max range if X is at -8 or worse
NM 11K will lose to X 44B at any range if X is at -6 or better

so 11K doesn't really work very well, the back step on the 44B is huge. Which means to beat 44B we will need to use 3B/33B/6B:B, but that means X's AA will interrupt.

Against SXS, 3K or 6K will beat most transitions on block, on hit SXS K and SXS Throw are uninterruptible.

44B does pretty good damage to the soul gauge though, so I'd rather not block it if not necessary.

edit: howabout this, after 1K, do 66K -> GS A/B/KK

if she AA, the 66K will TC (in time i hope), if she do 44B, it'll be caught by GS Mixups?

that should work actually, though to be specific, you will probably get 66K6 (whiff) into GS A auto GI if she did 44B

Did a bit of testing real fast. X blocks NM's iagA; if X does 44B, NM's 66K(6) will whiff and she'll nail him before he can do any GS move. On the contrary, if NM does 236 A (no 66K), he can TC AA and hit X out of 44B. This works better at close range, otherwise GS A timing differs between interrupting AA and 44B.

what to do when they're in prep mode? i know you can just keep blocking but it eat away your soul gauge like crazy and they'll CF you in no time.
i wonder if you can GI/JI the last JF B... hmmmmm

the last JF B is a free WS B on block

cupui: sway is so much slower than prep A that it will catch you for trying to step, and if you block you are in prep mixup again

as for dealing with prep PANDA, try my NEW PLAN bro...
block move that goes into prep then,
if you think he will prep A, step
if you think he will do any other prep move...33B

if unsure, block, then do one of those two things once you think you've predicted raph's next move

the BBB:B is fast like prep A is, so you can just step that as well. step after the 3 yeah. if he does the mid stab that goes back into prep again on block, or any other prep moves try to hit him out with 33B. this is all by anticipation of course

the other move you are talking about, he pulls you in on block with a two hit string and is advantage on guard. i forget the command but the second hit is high so you can duck under it and punish.
