Maxi General Q&A

Pretty sure that was one of the sources you were using as your word and time of posting was exactly the same as his and right after he posted it...

Its ok hillbillys dont always have it in the smarts department. ;)

Okay i thought you replied to me, wasnt that clear. Its the internet, and people often get called stuff. Sorry about teh misunderstanding.

So they have made LI A totally useless you BE it. This will not be a bad trade off provided that they make the BE version totally safe. If the BE version is still unsafe then they have made all mix potential from LI totally useless.

To be fair, LI had no mixups per se, but it made people wary of attacking in certain spots like 22A. LI A in itself is still good for what it really is meant to be....a damaging combo ender. I'm more fearful for 22A now...it just dropped several notches in usability.
Good thing there wasn't many, but I was really liking 22A though. Not too much anymore.

LI A BE safe would be broken lol :P

The only decent option to cut step from LI was the A. Many times I've seen it blocked it was not punished properly. I suppose that due to the push back, visually from someone who does not understand the match up would think that's it's safe. That said, BE LI A being safe (0 on block) imo would not be broken since would not give any advantage on block as is currently -26 pre patch.

I agree that it should only be used as solid combo ender. However, It was a great tool for ring out pressure with the opponents back to the edge (which is what I used it for). It's probably me just ranting, but I would like to see a list of all of the changes before I say anything else.

Now that I think about this, the only times I see LI A getting stepped is if you were too obvious throwing it out. For example after a RC A (BE) B or 22A which is where it's probably used the most. A lot of people know that the 2nd B in 4B,B can be quick stepped but they do not do this. I expect the same to happen to LI A provided that the Maxi player is not obviously abusing it.

Even -8 on block would be broken. 0 on block would be godlike against slow characters
Maxi being able to quit his stance for 0 risk (a part from losing a BE) and full reward if the opponent try anything funny (LI A BE is supposed to still track, do something like 60 damage, bonus damage on wall, RO proprieties, anti back dash at close range, very fast) is not supposed to happend
I don't think it makes any sens, all Maxi's frame trap are supposed to be risky, not 100% unsafe but risky. LI A is one of our frame trap and it should not be safe
