New Soul Calibur V Image & Character Silhouettes

Daishi has uploaded a new image of Soul Calibur 5 as it is being tuned, as well as two silhouettes of characters to be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con which you can view here and here.

Yes absolutely, but I doubt she's become a Japanese ninja.

 

What do you mean by this? Her frame is too thin? It's not Taki but it definitely isn't Talim either.

My statement "Her frame is too thin" is a reply to the shopped image of the silhouette implying that it is Taki. That frame doesn't match Taki's current physique but It doesn't rule out it being Talim.

 

i claim talim (with her newly inproved bust!), and raph, cuz he tis epic anyways xD

 

Apparently we are all well versed in Filipino armor.

 

Talim is not Japanese - this silhouette clearly shows that the character is wearing plated, over-lapping shoulder guards, hip guards and gloves in the samurai style, aswell as geta sandals (you can see the straps threading between her big toe). I very much doubt Talim has been ret-conned nationality-wise to Japan.

 

I'm gonna say its a NEW CHARACTER.

 

Reasons why it isnt talim:

1. Her necklace, which has been in every game on her first person outfit, is not there
2. Her style of outfit conflicts with her country of origin.
3. She is an adult, I was hoping they'd make her young forever aswell.
4. Her handplacement makes no sense.

Reasons why it is taki or taki replacement:

1. Hand placement is too perfect for her weapons.
2. Japanese style armor, Japanese style weapon, Japanese girl.
3. Her new hairstyle and girly pose would indicate that its a new taki replacement.

In support of this, check out how Taki is holding her weapon here - it's nearly the same, so is the leg position (albeit reversed) You can also see how the silhouette pic's sandals are just the same as Taki's here. Therefore - Taki or Taki replacement.

 

dont get me wrong, Talim > Taki for me in every way but it just does not look like her.

 

I agree with Jaxel, I think it's a new character.

To be honest it looks like samurai armor that's gotten the chainmail bikini treatment.

Yep. most definitely a taki replacement. Her hair is a little on the wild side so it suggest to me that she will be an outgoing character. She might be like Riku from final fantasy. (At least from what I've seen from the dead fantasy series. sorry don't play FF at all.)

 

Yeah, going with Taki's apprentice. Taki's backstory makes having one reasonable, and prevents them from being required to be <17. Alternately, it's Arthur's daughter, given there is samurai gear on her.

The left... hmm... Raph is the only recurrer I could see it being (who else would wear a cape?). Either him or new guy. Wouldn't mind it being a "handsome female" type though.

 

Its not Taki unless she got a BREAST REDUCTION. And shes seems like a young girl so Talim would be out. And Raph? Who knows. I actually hope both silo's are BRAND NEW CHARACTERS!!! This game needs a lot of new blood with just a few regulars returning to keep continuity.

 

1st on is most likely Talim or Tira. Why I don't think it's Taki is because is the hair and other apparel such as the skirt, bracelet etc. Even though her upper arm hasve some type of Japanese armor, I can definantly say it's Talim. Look at Talim's SC3 concept art, She in a similar stance and the ribbon looking string to the left of her pants is similar as well.

2nd pic, I believe it's Raphael, but I htought again and i'm guessing Bangoo. Rock sported animal heads so I guess Bangoo will do the same, but with fur on his clothing.

About the 2nd pic. It can definantly be Lizardman's human self, Aeon Calcos.
