yeah. one thing i love about black lagoon is that you have several hot girls through out the series show up including the main character wearing a tank top and super short shorts but the anime doesn't focus on that with stupid pantie/boob shots and fan service. I keeps it real. plus it's pretty darn funny at a lot of parts.

bleach was just a knockoff of an original anime anyway. i'm glad it's ending. hopefully people will stop obsessing over it. so sad no one knows about yu yu Hakisho.

gundam wing. Raxephon. Evangelion. just to name a few. i don't know if Mai-Hime really counts but it has some mecha elements. but i guess it's mostly fantasy.

Ah thanks I think I will start with gundam wing then, Mai-Hime was good I really enjoyed that one.
i'm about halfway through on it. will probably finish it next week.
gundam wing was most people's first gundam series I'm sure. I'd recommend G Gundam, Gundam X, Gundam 00, Code Geass, and Gurren Lagann for mech shows (though its not the main focus in code geass)
i didn't like any of the other gundams. they steered off of the realism too much. code geass was too much like one of the gundam series that i really didn't like. gurren lagann is too mainstream for me as well. that's why i didn't say any of them.

Thanks I will goes through those.

While I am asking questions, does anyone know of any actually scary anime? Like ghost hunt or Another kinda scary.

G Gundam I could understand but I don't think Gundam X and Gundam 00 are any less realistic than Gundam Wing is. Gundam 00 even has a similar plot (5 main pilots who claim to be anti-war but are basically terrorists)

I've seen '79 Gundam, G Gundam and Gundam Wing. So far, they were all really good (Wing seemed to have a lot of dialogue, but good nonetheless). G Gundam was a sudden turn in terms of plot, lol.

What are the best mecha based anime?
I highly recommend Cyborg 009, it was OH SO GOOD imho. I haven't seen 009-1 yet, but that one looks promising.

Its sad, it was originally going to go on. as this was only "Half" of the epoc, then it started sucking. I never liked Bleach at all but I did enjoy the first arc....with the hollow concept vs dead humans with Rukia telling what to do... I mean, she doesn't deserve to fall under the debris of the series' failure. She is my favourate character and possibly favourate female protagonist. Where as Ichigo's flat out boring and Johnny Young Bosch as good as he is, makes him sound boring to listen to. He's 15 and acts like he's 40 socially...as if he hates his office job.

Now if only Naruto would just wrap it up. (Preparing my Flameshield) I mean, rumors of a series of Naruto AFTER shippuden floating around... I disagree with people claiming Naruto is "So deep and mentally/psychollogically Complex." People it's not. It's Shounen Jump. Just because random things pop up out of no where and are convoluted into plot conveniences doesn't mean it's deep.

Well, especially when there are far better lesser known shows out there that done use the typical generic stereotype anime has thanks to shonen in general. In end, I want the big three titles to rotate a bit. DBZ and Shamen King steped down as they stayed strong. Pass the torch to new shows. (and I dont mean clones like HunterxHunter or Fairy Tale.)

I never liked Gurran Lagann personally. I dont see why it so highly recieved outside of the female lead's body.(Personal Bias)
I did like Escaflowne on the other hand, a classic and underrated IMO... were as Eureka 7 bored me... and SD Gundam Force is just.. lolwut? Horrible.

um. higurashi. i haven't seen it yet but i heard it's a psycho-thriller. boogiepop phantom is up there along with Serial experiment Lain as well. once again these are more psycho-thrillers with horror elements in it. it's hard to achieve the horror effect in anime. gantz and blue gender are a couple others as well. i think that's all that i can immediately think of.

Finished Blood-C and started Black Rock Shooter!

@acefrost
Tiamat said most of the Good things(TTGL FTW)
I would say..if ya like newsytle..then watch Star Driver,Gundam Unicorn
(but its not finished yet,the episodes come out every 4 month or so -.-)
...but if ya prefer some old school...Gundam Z.
@Vincent Rayne
hey..i know YUYU Hakusho ;)
I think...there was something missing in the end..it was so fast to the final episodes...

i agree that YUYU Hakusho ended pretty quick. but it was really cool from the beginning through the tournament. i can't find Black Rock Shooter. I want to see it.

So sad,Bleach is ending on March 27 :(
Hey what now? *hits the internet*

Well it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for a naruto spin-off. I tried to console myself by saying "well let's make some room for the new guys"... but then that's a slap in the face.

Let's be honest. Supernatural fighting time is about as over done as mecca in anime. You're just so negative because you perceived it as stealing deserved popularity from something you liked. By the time bleach came along though Yu Yu Hakusho was all wrapped up, people had moved on and Yu Yu wasn't going to maintain popularity for 20 years like a DBZ, it would have been unrealistic to expect that. I'm not going to get upset because the kids aren't nuts about Outlaw Star or Iria anymore.

Its sad, it was originally going to go on. as this was only "Half" of the epoc, then it started sucking. I'd have to say that Rukia is my favorite character from Bleach, probably from any anime. More over than being unique for not possessing the usual anime female protagonist's model body she also has such a well realized and unique personality. For me that made her just so darned likeable. But the series is full of likable characters. I think that in the old days it was the interplay between those characters that made the show so strong.

In any event the manga still goes on. While I'm not happy to see the series go our options were either the manga gets rushed or we get God knows how many filler arcs, or maybe both. This may be better off for the story in the end. It's a shame in my opinion though after so many years of watching the anime that said end may not be televised. After so long it's the television likenesses that are predominate in my consciousness. I'd like to know what all lead to this decision.

It's hard to imagine it's just going away though. It still has a ton of fans. As Vincentray points out "people obsess" over it. My hope would be it's just going on a hiatus to allow the manga to build up some material. They are right at it's gate as it is. If they're stopping march 27th though it's hard to imagine they'll even finish the fullbringer arc. Maybe it's just a timeslot change?

the manga was actually canceled though it had a pretty long run. that's why the last story arc seems rushed in the anime as well
