Hm... I dunno man, if I'm not playing the game with the original controller, might as well just use an emulator.
lol thats why i brought up the SNES controllers - you can use them with a retroduo and they work just fine.

besides the majority of PC based controllers have really crappy dpads anyways...trust me from experience.

Voted for all the above. I like all systems equally. PC is used to play old school games that I usually can't find in stores today, plus new ones and Mugen. PS2 and Ps1 for it's extensive game library. Nintendo Wii, NES, SNES and N64 because NES was one of my first console systems ever. Xbox for it's exclusives (plus they allowed me to play PD again, yay!)

I use the Logitech controllers the ones that resemble the PS2 controller design. I find I could perform moves a lot easier with then any other PC controller I had.

Lol why would we discuss Nintendo?? xD They are pretty much a flop console developer and I played there consoles since I was practically a baby... Looking back the N64 sucked, we got a new game released for it like once every 4 months (if you could find a copy at the store) and unlike the discs, you could download games (or burn games to CDs) and play them on Play Station!

What did crappy Nintendo give you? A large clunky cartage? Then there next gen was the "GameCube" which I also got, and omg.... Again, the game discs were super tiny.

Meanwhile 2004 Sony and Microsoft begin intigrated hardcore online gaming with there next gen systems (Next gen being the PS3, Xbox360) and Nintendo STILL hasn't figured out how to make a competent online system. On PS3 and Xbox you have user names, friend lists, game invites, messages, online gamerscore / achievements. Nintendo? Oh.... You have a little Wii Code which you have to acquire another person's by other means via the internet, then you enter it and 'hopefully' you'll get to play together.

Year 2016, Nintendo finally makes an online network that can rival Sony's and Microsoft's 20o4 online mode. Lol, Nintendo fails.... xD Reminiscence about the past all you like, I'm just glad that is the PAST, not the present, because the past sucks compared to the present!

Mainstreams gaming died for PC gamers back in 2004 after the Gamecube, Xbox original and PS2 era. The Xbox360, PS3 era just further robbed PC gamers of more exclusives and mainstream buyers.

2013 next gen console graphics look just as great as a PC's graphics, former PC gamers now buy PS4's and Xbox Ones. They don't buy gaming PCs anymore.

Compare games like Far Cry 3 which were release on both PC and console, sold 8x better on console.

2016 gaming PC is officially dead, it's already small 10% population (compared to console owners) drops even lower to near non-existent. Developers don't find a need to port games entirely to PC anymore, so they don't.

2020 last PC gamer buyers an Xbox Infinity or a PS5. They still reminiscence about the past "back in my day sonny! PC was the king! And.. and.... *falls asleep in rocking chair..*

"PC sales are increasingly declining since early 2000's, but Steam has done much to hold piracy at bay. But for the most part, the general gamer will choose a console over a PC for a number of reason."

Oh and nobody cares about a PC's graphics, my copy of BF4 looks amazing on XboxOne, in stunning 1080p. The frame rate is phenomenal, and the load times are great. Go console.

.... deja vu, blah blah blah I've heard all of these comments before. 3 decades of "PC gaming is dead" and I have yet to see it happen. ...but here some food for thought:

"I think in the future things will be played on the service, rather than on the hardware. The Cloud is often mentioned, and if cloud services progresses, the time when only the name of the service will remain will come some day.... The PS5 probably won’t have a main console, but just the screen and controller. So what remains will be just the name of the service. It could be named just “PlayStation network”. Steam is defined a platform, but it’s not a hardware platform. It’s the name of the service." - Katsuhiro Harada, producer Tekken series quoted from Famitsu Oct 2013

I think it's becoming clear the machine doesn't matter as much as the "platform" to which games are available. I don't know why people have these ego complex domination superiority arguments when it comes to gaming vs. gaming. I don't know about the rest of you, but I like choices - whether its console, computer, mobile or immersive VR. I hope in the future there will be several different ways to play games and access to digital entertainment. It's good that companies compete - it spurs innovation and keeps pushing the bar.

Mods, vote to lock this thread.. arguments here will go on forever with no meaningful compromise.

I know... Totally.

I'm tired of going online and seeing "Oh PC is sooooo superior to console!! Graphics, graphics, graphics... RAM!" you look at games like Ryse which are XB1 exclusives, they are absolutely stunning! BF4 looks amazing on PS4, the frame rate is great, load times are great, graphics are outstanding. PC gamers brag about graphics but fail to mention how much more EXPENSIVE some of the top of the line graphics cards are for PC. A high end graphics card for PC can cost up to more than $400, the total cost of a PS4 itself! Just to what....? To rival a PS4's graphics...?

^ Costs more than a PS4.

^ Costs more than an XB1 by itself.

You registered on this sit "today" and your only post is in this topic? (Detects multiple account...) Lol, welcome to 8wayrun then!

Also, your images were botched, you know you can just photoshop an image with a blur effect then put "XB1!" or "PS4!" above it right? It's really simple and proves nothing. =P

Heh, I forgot I had these:

Heh, forgot I had all this too:

^ I don't need ported controllers to a PC, I already have a dozen for XB1 and Xbox360.

^ Next gen and current gen, along with a PS2, and a Wii.

^ Oh and look! I can hook my XB1 up to my living room home entertainment system! Now I can play games like Ryse on a beautiful 70' TV! And to show you visually I put my laptop in the corner left.

^This post fails to be of any relevance.

Now people, why is this thread even going on?
Nothing is universally better, or universally worse, if you are a busy person and really don't care for how great the graphics look, you can play in a console, because hell it is far easier, plugin in your TV and play your games- Because this is better for this kind of person.

If you have time to spare, and want the best thing visually make your PC, you will have the benefits of having a powerhouse PC and having you gaming experience together.

What is best for you, may not be the best for all. So if you all could accept that this thread is a good as done for.
