Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

How many characters have been in every main series game?

Never mind I checked quick and I think the list is just
- Cervantes
- Mitsurugi
- Voldo

and that's it, Nightmare and Siegfried have technically been in every game but Nightmare was just an alternate costume in SE and Seigfried was an alternate costume in SCII, so they don't quite count.

Add Ivy, Kilik, Maxi, Astaroth, and Yoshimitsu if you discount SoulBlade, so characters who have been in every "SoulCalibur" game.
 
There's no reason to discount Soul Edge/Blade as the first game in the series, it's not like it's some separate genre game like the western Dynasty Warriors 1. Sure SC was somewhat of a reboot but the series is currently on it's third reboot.

Well SoulCalibur V had to go and be a combo breaker, if it was consistent, there would have been 13 females in that one, gaining 2 per game...

That could be neat, since most of the males are represented as fairly determined individuals, having a more meek male would be a change.

But what weapon / style would you say would suit someone like that?

If Soul Calibur VI picked up right after the events of V (which it didn't). I would've loved to see Leixian; Leixia's brother as a new character. I would imagine him having the same weapon as her, but being a bit of a klutz.

That or in one of my old posts I wanted what Viola does; fight with a projectile weapon. However, with knives/daggers in place of the orb. Also being a young teen boy traveling his worth or whatever.

Finally, why not just Bangoo? He may not be meek, but I can imagine him being somewhat calm.
 
Single hatchet, Kama, maybe hunting knife.

Actually I just had a cool idea. Say the Boys house had been attacked by swordsmen affected by the evil seed. or some people suspecting g his mother if witchcraft. His home, his parents farm was burned down, parents fate is unknown.

He fought with a samurai and struck him down with his Kama and took took a Wakazashi from him.

This is sorta rough, writing from cell phone at work but the idea comes down to a young boy fighting with a short sword is wakazashi and improvising by occasionally using a kama, knife, or other weapon briefly like in a different stance.

Just a idea.

I think this post doesn't fits to much with Soul Calibur VI Thread, better in Soul Calibur VII Thread or Wishlist Thread so I'll put my thoughts into spoiler, so our talk doesn't affects the real focus of this thread.

Daishi cut Bangoo because he didn't want another *Worsened*Rock in the game. I would give two choices for him:
Two Axes or Spear.
Aeon
Bring back Grudge Ax & Aya Shield.
Riki
2x Bladed Nunchaku like his father in SC III.
others weapons
I don't understand why Revenant not in the game or why no one using a steel fan, Sai, kusarigama or the iconics grieve edges in the main roster.

Lizzy should get the two axes back if he comes back.

But looks like Ivy has the bow attack. Hope for a newcomer with something of the sort.

I’m worried about the non leaked characters. I’m still thinking no Raph could mean Amy for DLC. Just afraid to lose weapon types. The no-Korean rumors have me worried about the lack of a spear or cutlass.

I do hope that Zas isn’t opposite of Ivy if only because I’m worried that means no Cervantes.

If months actually do have a certain theme to them than this may mean that we’ll get him revealed. Maybe with Astaroth. Then again Voldo sometimes fought on the stage with the ship in II and protects sunken treasure...

I'd put Talim opposite Xianghua, not because they're against each other, but they're both good in their own different ways and don't really have rivals of their own. I'd put Raphael opposite Tira like from the opening of SoulCalibur III, plus they have parallels to Siegfried and Nightmare. Zasalamel... I know we don't know much about him, or even confirmation he exists, but my gut feeling is putting him opposite Grøh's daddy. Geralt opposite Yoshimitsu, as Yoshimitsu is also a "guest" from Tekken, and then Voldo opposite Aeon, since they're both the "crazy" or "chaotic" of evil and good.
 
As an Amy fanboy I......... have zero doubt that Raphael will be in the game and Amy will not. I would be VERY surprised if that wasn't the case.

Reasons? Well, I never get what I want, and I want Amy in SCVI, so...

But seriously speaking, Raph has as much right to be there as Sophie and Mitsu. It would be very weird if they just cut the Rapier style out entirely.
 
BN...please bring back the real Lizard Man..not that SCV Aeon/Kratos garbage. How can u have LM without CRAWL STANCE?? Taking that away was one of the worst ideas ever.
 
Still waiting for my favorite character Astaroth to be revealed!!! It's gonna be so nice to break the backs of crybabies and Bull Rush the Haters out of the ring. Lol
