Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

This isn't bad. Nightmare has a better ratio, but far fewer votes in total. From the look of things, the game is climbing in awareness. Azwel's dislikes are likely from disgruntled people who are still mad about Tira being day-1 DLC.
That's what I noticed too - a good sign! I doubt we'll get a fighting game this good for years to come... there's something very superior about SCVI over all other beat'em ups. The atmosphere is changing and is approaching something similar to Samurai Shodown 64, which unfortunately failed for other reasons. For example, there's good use of purple, blue and red, and when Ivy does her long distance throw the screen goes dark. Does anyone recall if the screen went dark in SC2-5 during any special moves? I only ever recall seeing that effect in SC1 beta.

@Frayhua, I swear you work for Namco! :) I even thought you would have been the one to have leaked Aswel 3-4 months ago... sorry to call you out, bro, but you are the #1 spokesperson around here it seems...

I'm my own person and I was never trying to be like Vergeben at all. I'm just a SoulCalibur fan who just wants his favorite character back and that's why I like to say certain things as fact. I understand why people don't like that. My intentions were not to mislead anyone. I don't do 4chan stuff. I didn't know about the Azwel name till I watch FluffyQuack's video on it in the 51 minute mark talking about the 4chan base roster leaked roster list.

When I saw the Libra of Souls trailer for the 1st time. I thought the guy in trailer was Aswel because Vergeben said that Groh's Papi was going to be one of the bosses in the story. He looked like a boss because his hands glowed like Algol and the CaS protaganist that can be created fights him in Astral Chaos.

Setsuka's 2143 aB was unsafe on block... it was all about the 2143 B:B... shame to see her and Hilde go actually - they were so unique. I plan to rewatch some old SCIV videos just to confirm how slow the game was compared to other SCs, including VI - IV felt awfully sluggish when I played it on 2 emulators despite clocking in at 60 fps.

If Azwel is doing Sets' 214B then Id take it as her being in the game. Hes a mimic character so I assume his moves are for the most part pulled from the rosters pool.

lol yes he is. Why is no one noticing this???
Almost all of the moves in the trailer are someone elses moves. He has some originals but not many.

I like how damn near everyone hated mimics a month ago then this guy comes out and it "HE'S AMAZING"

Ok
Because what you're describing isn't a mimic character, which are characters like Mokujin, Edge Master, Olcadan, Elysium and SCV Kilik. What you're describing is a hybrid character such as Ogre or Necrid (which I don't actually think he is either).

Ok

You do know that when people talk about a mimic they mostly mean a character that borrows a moveset from another character, right? Like Edgemaster using Zwei's entire moveset and Kilik using someone's like Siegfried's. Azwel is practically like Necrid from what I see. Necrid borrowed moves from other characters, but that did not make him a mimic.

His design and concept is amazing, on the other hand borrowing moves from other characters does nark me a bit. Azwel could have been something truly special but I wouldn't be surprised the gaming budget had something to do with him not being fully original. If there ever is a SC7 and he's a popular character I hope he returns with a complete original moveset.

Everywhere you go people keep trying to randomly attribute things to the budget lol. KOFXIV was a true budget title from a top developer, FEXL is a budget title. SCVI in no way is, and there's nothing lending itself towards believing that is, whether it has the random costumes or modes or stages or characters you want or not.

He's pretty much Necric Algol.
I personally don't mind this too much, I just think the 180 by alot of people is funny.
I talk about someone like Cassandra, who is a unique character by all accounts, and a horde douche of monkeys crawl out the wood work calling her a mimic.

Cass is not a mimic. Her style is based off of Sophi. Azwel's movelist is pulled from everyone else in the cast (like I said, with the exclusion of a couple unique moves).
