Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Isn't RE enough for you?
Honest question: Do you know how the slow mo in Tekken works?

Basically, if both characters are near one another, both attacking and one of the moves has the potential to KO on hit, the slow mo is triggered automatically. This creates some very hype match finales, but the best thing about it is:

It doesn't interrupt the gameplay.

I mean, time slows down obviously, but it's only for dramatic effect. RE, in comparison, is specifically designed to interrupt an opponent's offense. It breaks the flow.

Personally, I was dreaming of a SoulCalibur with Tekken's slow-mo as soon as I played Tekken 7. But so far I think RE is garbage trash. I guess it might appeal to casual players, but that's the kindest thing I can say about it.

I do know how it works. I just think with RE, we don't need anything to slow down the match further.

Anyone want Tekken like slow mo feature? I don't even like Tekken, but the slow mo does look cool and dramatic (been watching on Youtube). Do Tekken community like it, or hate it?
You're only asking about this so you can watch the animation mistake shown as your avatar in slow motion, aren't you?

So basically as we have already Groh, i wonder how many other new characters we will have. (Geralt doesn't count in this as he's a guest, and as every SC has its guest lol, doesn't mean he's not great ;))

There are the rumors and leaks about Groh's Daddy, but what if he won't be playable character and will just appear in the Story? (also if he's real i'm quite surprise he wasn't reveal with Groh?). And what if ... what if he'll just appear in the story, and then maybe he will something like a preorder character or one of the DLC characters? (if there will be of course)

And it's likely to have a new female character, and very curious on this one, as Soul Calibur has already so many great female characters and very different design wise with different personalities, if that happen i just hope she will be original in her own.

I'm very too curious about the other new characters. Hope they will be great (if they exist of course lol)

Interesting points. I certainly hope it won't be any such nonsense as him not being playable despite being important. Might just be me, but I'm not a fan of that kinda thing usually, save for instances like Night Terror, though I'd have liked to be able to turn into him for a very short time as a mechanic. Somehow feels like having a character that isn't playable despite fighting them would be a bit wasteful, and a bit of a tease to players.

He could be playable only in vs matches and in online player matches that specifically have option "boss characters: allowed".
It's quite fun to have a match with OP characters with your friend and also like you said it feels wasteful when there is a character you fight against but you can't use him in any mode in the game at all.

That kind of option would be a fun addition for sure. Fighting a character that's OP like that in the hands of a friend or AI would also make for a good way to improve faster with a character you're learning as well, to add a more serious use to it. That actually used to be why I'd have my friends use the handicap options in their favor in SCIV, if I'm thinking of the right one.

i am trying so hard to not get hopeful but damn it would be a lie if I said I dont expect anything new... Why must I hurt myself like this
