But isnt that your entire point? That you think female characters get cut while male characters dominate the roster ?

To be fair out of 13 reveled characters, 9 are in the top 13 of the poll, the other three are the guest, the new guy and Maxi.

My point is fact. Male characters do dominate the roster. Unique females keep getting cut. Why is it that as soon as someone talks about something happening to females whether it's in real life or even in a video game some random dude somewhere feels so threatened and has to play the male victim card. You could cut half of all men that have ever appeared in a Soulcalibur game and there'd still be more men than women.

Its not playing the victim card. This isnt about genders its about which characters are popular and which arent. Talim wasnt popular until she got cut. And as far as i know has barely any influnce in the story line. You can say the exact same thing about rock.

All of the female characters save perhaps Mina (and obviously the SCV intros) have a considerable fanbase. Taki and Sophitia are two of the most iconic Soulcalibur characters, if not even the whole fighting game genre alongside Scorpion, Kasumi, Heihachi and Ryu. They both got cut. It doesn't matter how popular a character is, if the devs want to leave them out they will. They've proven that already. Viola is the most popular out of all of the new SCV characters alongside ZWEI, even beating out some classic SC characters, and the rumours are she will be DLC whilst those characters will be in the base roster. It's stupid.

Also on the character gender thing so far we know we're getting 3 new male characters ( does Geralt count? ) and there's no confirmation of us getting a single new female character so...

again these two didnt get cut they got replaced that doesnt change the number of female characters. And in my opinion natsu/pyrrha are way superior.
And i also dont htink they are the most iconic characters. If you ask people about sc the first thing that pops up is nightmare

And despite male cuts there are still over double. That's my point. Females shouldn't be cut when there is already significantly less of them.

They should be cut if they arent popular or original regardless of the gender. Rock got cut cause no one plays him and because he got replaced by asta. Amy turned into viola. Kilik is more popular than mina. This isnt about gender

Is your brain stuck on a loop or something lol we've already went over how the most popular characters were cut in SCV. You're trying to justify something with flawed reasoning instead of just realising it doesn't make sense to cut them.

Yes it makes sense to cute clones and unpopular characters. To make room for more unique character FOR EXAMPLE VIOLA who is a female character. Im not against having more female characters but i dont want them for the sake of having more female characters in the roster if there are other characters that happen to be male that are more unique and important.

I hope there is a decent gap between the last character announcement and the games release so that people can get over their favorite characters being left out.
