I don't think that they would. SoulCalibur VII encapsulating SoulCalibur II-IV makes a lot more sense to me.

On a slightly different note does anyone else think the amount of stages we've currently seen is not indicative of the final amount of stages in the game.
Purposely waiting on incorporating anything until the next game would seem like a foolhardy way to develop any game, much less one nearing the end of a console's life cycle.
I dunno, it's hard to say, because you'd think they would be showing off new stages with the last four characters revealed since the E3 build, but they haven't been, so it's possible that's all we have. Then again, there's a story screenshot for Voldo in the Money Pit, so if that says anything, maybe... I would hope for more stages, personally, especially if there's another story mode, it would get samey after a while, maybe they're saving them up to hit us with a bunch at Gamescom would be the hope if there's going to be more.On a slightly different note does anyone else think the amount of stages we've currently seen is not indicative of the final amount of stages in the game.
I would just rather them go all-in with a full game dedicated to the stories instead of just adding scraps as DLC, which is how having characters with stories on the side would come across. SoulCalibur VI is clearly designed with this timeline of 1583-1590 in mind, so let it thrive in that timeline, and make the next game about the illustrious time of 1590-1591 where three major games took place in the span of a single year. It would allow so much more detail and quality to be given instead of tacking it on to an existing product. Besides that, next generation means it just looks and feels that much better, not sure why this would be a bad thing to give the next game a grand stage.Purposely waiting on incorporating anything until the next game would seem like a foolhardy way to develop any game, much less one nearing the end of a console's life cycle.
Backwards compatibility.I’m hoping for some kind of rerelease on next-gen launch to hold us over until SCVII.
Duh, but updated games can revitalize the community by adding improvements and more content.Backwards compatibility.
I'm worried. How many copies this game have to sell in order to be considered as a success?
T7 has Denuvo's anti-tamper setting, which refuses to let the game load any outside assets. Only recently have modders learned to import textures and images, but still nothing on models or sounds.
Very likely SCVI will do the same.
They waited 6 years to make this game, so nothing is off the table.
But what about making the value of sliders for CaS higher, you think that can be modded?
