Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

If they have any cards to play, now is the time to do it. Anything that is not on that leak, even if its DLC will be good. That will effectively salvage some amount of surprise they have left but if we see either Cervantes or Raphael trailer this week.... that should clearly tell everyone they dont have anything else to show and the original leak was actually including DLC characters.

I also gave a summary of an interview Okubo-san gave to Famitsu in which he said that "naturally" we should expect something for TGS.
Ah I must have missed that. :)

My roommate never buys fighting games, but he is buying Soul Calibur 6 due to the single player content such as Libra of Souls specifically.
Did you have any influence there or was it all him? Either way I think it's definitely a good sign. Maybe get him to sign up to 8WR? I've been doing that on the side a little, sometimes ;)

Regarding Typhoon 21, a user on Twitter wanted this video spreading in order to show it's effects:

The influence I had was letting him know about the changes to the single player and RPGish mode that allows one to do more with the CaS characters. One of the few experiences they have with fighting games was Tekken which they found incredibly boring.

I don't understand the problem with denuvo.
How is it worst than previous DRM like Securom ? And Steam itself is a DRM ?
DRM is an issue based on how much it effects paying customers. Securom was cancer because it was malware that effectively hijacked your system if you wanted to play its games. Denuvo is based on Securom (and I believe actually still has Securom source code in it). It isn't as bad, but it still hits performance and occasionally locks paying customers out of their games. It's less of an issue for pirates than it is legit consumers. It also installs kernals into your system at initial install that can't be removed without losing access to your game. If Bamco wants to charge me for an inferior product, then I'll pay an inferior price.
And you still can buy it on console without Denuvo ?
Good one dude. Really funny.

You would never be able to notice denuvo hitting your performance in a game like soulcalibur.

I don't like denuvo either but system requirements are made with that in mind. If you have the specs to run the game at 60fps with better details than on console (which is still to be discussed) then get it on PC and support the developers, if you think your pc is not up to the requirements get it on console where you are guaranteed to get a solid 60fps presentation that is really all you need in a fighting game.

BTW the lastest version of denuvo (that SCVI will probably use) has been cracked so if you really want it gone you have that option. (that would be illegal though
