Soulcalibur VI General Roster Speculation Thread

So right now, 9 characters left, 6 at launch, 3 DLCs.

So let's begin with naming all the character that may be in the 9, goind from the most likely to the less likely:

Cervantes: Almost sure he'll make it (very high chances he'll be in the Launch)
Raphael: He even made it in SC5, and very unique and was good placed in the Poll (can make at launch, but also good chances as DLC)
Setsuka: Very requested, very beloved, and super unique, she has a very nice place in the poll (Most likely as DLC)
Cassandra: Very Beloved and very well placed in the poll, the only issue with Cassie right now is that it seems there aren't 2 characters using the same weapon in the game, but she can still make it and has higher chances than many of other non revealed characters. if she'll make it and i hope so, she will more likely be in as DLC, tho being in the launch roster isn't too impossible as well. (i'm really hoping for her cause i really wanna see her)
Hilde: She has good amounts of fans, super unique good place in poll (most likely as DLC)
Amy: Has a lot of fans and was well placed in the Poll, she can totally make it, high chance as DLC, especially if Raph will be in the Launch roster.
Hwang: Not too popular, but has fans, has interesting gameplay, and he was in SC1
Rock: Not popular, even less than Hwang, but who knows, or maybe Bangoo instead of him (Rock or Bangoo as launch maybe, but can also end in DLC)
Lizardman: Since CaS reveal Lizardman has got his chances decreased quite a bit, still tho, i think there is still chances he'll make, if so i think he'll make it in the launch roster.



So now i'm going with:

6 Launch characters:

Groh's Dad
Illuminati Libra dude
New Girl (Yes i'm saying IT)
Cervantes
Raphael
Cassandra (YES I'M SAYING ITTTT)


3 DLC characters:

Setsuka
Hilde
Guest Character (i don't know who, could be Dark Souls character, or 2B or Dunno). PS: Dunno isn't a guest character

Now things can change depending on the new characters, like if both New Libra dude and Groh's Dad are 2 totally new and different characters, as well if there will be new girl character, But if there won't be as many new characters as i mentioned... in case... so it will add even more chances for the classic characters that didn't make it in my roster speculation, like Hwang, Amy, Lizzy, or Rock.

I agree with Hayate after Tira was confirmed to be DLC.

Base Roster Remaining 6 Characters - Azwel(Groh's Papi), Cervantes, Raphael, Lizardman(Sword & Shield), Hwang, & Rock

Season Pass - Tira(Day 1 DLC & NOT A PRE-ORDER), Setsuka, Hilde,& Unknown Guest.

I literally almost choked on my drink reading this. Rock, so unpopular, he's even less popular than himself!

But seriously, I can't see Rock making it as anything other than a cloned moveset of Astaroth, at this stage. And Tira would most likely be like Dampierre / Star Wars characters before her, where she's got one of the slots from the start, that will be very much blank if you don't have her, so she would take that slot.

I will also be extremely surprised if Seong Mi-na is inbetween Cervantes and Astaroth on the Soul Chronicle timeline screen. That's just so contradictory to the other groupings that they have going on that I don't understand why anyone would put her there.

They can always switch up UI stuff. Mi-Na herself was a major game changer.

Rock is only in if our roster is based off of SC1. Possibly Hwang and Aeon too.

I still guess the roster has an SCII base minus Charade. The Lizardman in CaS is also a game changer. I think it’s either Aeon or Cassie and the latter’s more popular...

I kinda agree, i don't there isn't high chances for Rock to come, tho like someone said: "Never say Never"

If Koreans won't come back, would be interesting what they'll do with Mina Storywise.

It’d be funny if Rock, Hwang, and even Li Long showed up as customs. I don’t know why the former returned in SC3 besides being able to get a different weapon from a dao/cutlass...

Rock gets the short end of the stick but seems like a cool character. Always fond of the fatherly type. And workout goals.

Lizzy is really confusing though. Hope they’re pretty customizable. Aeon is tricky to decide the fate of since Sophie never had an axe before and the shield looks too big for her as well.

Cassie fans may be mad though if Aeon appears. I’m neutral since she’s basically Sophie and Mi-Na combined in my opinion.

Cassandra has about a 50/50 shot at being in the roster. The thing is that there has been very few leaks about her whether that be at launch or as DLC.
But the same thing happened with Seong Mi-Na, so I'm going to be cautiously hopeful about her chances.

Hoping for both Lizardman AND Cassandra.
And especially for Lizzy i hope he's NOT a storyline clone with Sophi's style, i'd actually be pissed and quite surprised if that was the case.
After putting the work into adding Lizardman into Creation, it would seem like a waste to me to not go all the way, give him HIS style and not piss off 90 or so percent of the Lizardman fans like me.
And from the pic of the Lizardman in the Libra mode it looks like he has his normal, a little hunched, stance, not Sophi's, and i think programming Sophi's command list onto Lizzy's stance would be quite retarded.

Good job on the video but i would call this (like you said) just your own opinion on what would hype you. I can say that i'm loving the roster so far, even though Hilde hasn't been revealed yet and there's a chance she's out but anyway. It's strange hearing you say that Groh is too anime but you want a literal anime character in SC6. I don't watch One Piece but since Groh has a crazy, almost anime-like fighting style, i would almost think that he would be better in that case, maybe?

Not to go on that Rock topic again, but if I had to choose between Rock or a new female character I’d go with the latter.

6 characters is less than a third of the roster, I'd class that as not many. Though of course until we don't know the actual wording yet, not many could just be Kayane rephrasing it awkwardly.

I think based off "not many" this close to release, I think 6 is optimistic, and 4 is more likely, though I most certainly hope it's at least 6.

Cervantes, Cassandra, Raphael and Hwang/Yun-Seong are probably the ones with the highest chance. If we are to get any more than that (not Azwel aka the libra guy) I'd say Rock and then Lizardman (he's gone to the low end of the prediction spectrum with the create-a-soul race option).

I think there will be one more female character to be revealed at TGS...Japan likes their waifus. I'm predicting Cassandra...I originally thought Tira would fill this role but now that spot has gone to Cassandra. The two have switched places essentially.

Cervantes being leaked early via IGN means that he'll probably be next (or last). I'm thinking they will show him and Inferno at the same time so it could be an October reveal.

Raphael - in for some stress means we should expect the worst although if they truly intend to tell the full story of 1 and 2 Raphael is kind of necessary.

Hwang/Yun-Seong: One of them is coming (unless the extra slots are DLC...)

Azwel: Unlockable and Playable.

Cervantes, Inferno, Raphael, Cassandra, Hwang/Yun-Seong, and Azwel = the remaining cast if no DLC (including Tira) is currently on the roster select screen.

Second worst case scenario Cervantes, Inferno, Azwell, Tira, Create-a-Soul, and DLC spot

You can't possibly know that. As popular as Cassandra is, she makes for perfect DLC bait, along with Setsuka.
