Thanks fellas.
- Against Ivy my main problem (besides over-aggression and a few input mistakes at times) was ring control. I put myself into positions to be rung out when I had a lead and need to work on that. Ivy can't do a hard punish on Talim's unsafe AS moves so they are worth taking extra chances at times.
- After WC B:B near the edge, a simple K will send get the RO. I didn't notice that I didn't try that. For the Ice Wind combo, you have to do the first two commands fast, but you then need a slight pause before you do the third command.
- Yeah, I've already started adding FC 3BB to my practices. One thing I am trying to get used to is doing AS A+K or AS juggles depending on if the second hit connects or not (when the first FC 3B is blocked).
Against Taki, my main three in-close tools for controlling her flow are 1A+B, WC stuff (WC K is fast and techs highs for instance) and WL mixups. I also mix in a few other key attacks depending on what she does, but I try to never sit still and let her dictate the flow too much.
One thing not shown much in the vid is that 1A+B is really awesome against her. It goes under highs of course, but also dodges a few of her mids, like WS K and some mid stabs. In fact, 1A+B dodges mids against many characters (like BBs from Yoshi and Mitsu), so I'm thinking it has a built in sidestep.
As for WC-->WL strats, make sure you input it like this: WC 4~6 <attack or AS>. That shortens the Wind Leap so your WL K comes out faster, making it tougher for a foe to react in anticipation of WL A or as a whiff punisher. I like WL A_K attacks because they are fairly safe on block compared to the AS stuff while still delivering good damage.
