*UPDATED* Soulcalibur + Bayonetta = Huh?

While its nothing new that Namco has featured guest character designs in previous Soulcalibur games; this new one its a bit of a surprise, considering the source. In a new report from 1up; it has been announced that Mari Shimazaki has optioned to create three costumes for the game, including Leixia's 1P.

Mari Shimazaki was the character designer who came up with Bayonetta. The 1up article also features a bit more information about how Shimazaki found herself with the job, and a drop from Hisaharu Tago in how Bayonetta was one of their original guest character choices, but was excluded because of time constraints. Future DLC?

Question is; will any of these guest costumes be CAS parts to mix and match to other characters?

 

Given one of them is a 1p and Daishi mentioned someone (I think it was the modelers) would kill him (I think it was kill) if Pat had both p2 suggestions (suggesting p3s aren't likely)

 

Tira reminds me of a harpy. Ivy, I can't quite find that word I'm looking for.

I had a little crazy moment and thought they had added Jeanne to the roster - if anything, I favour Jeanne over Bayonetta, but alas it was not to be. Nevertheless, I think Ivy looks awesome, goes to show you don't have to bare it all to be sexy. Tira...damn, why does that costume just...fit so well?!

After seeing how in no way shape or form these costumes in no way can be able be broken down into parts for CaS, (well maybe Tira's) I dont think that default costumes will be able to be taken off like SCIV

Lex's design is... plain imo, and abit to mature for her age.

Ivy's is flamboyant but i prefer it over her 1p for the simple fact gold looks better on her then purple does.

Tira's design however, OH SOMEONES FAKE GAWD! She's beautiful in that outfit! the design in general just screams Schizophrenia girl next door!

 

I really like Ivy's costume. It's sexy. Shows a little bit, but not too much. <3

She is like a half opened christmas present. haha. =)

 

Add a hood to Tira's costume and you'll get Fairy Tale Sheva from RE5.

 

God poor ivy, what a costume! D: tiras is nice though

 

At first I didn't like Ivy's 2p oufit, but it's tackiness has kind of grown on me. Tira's is amazing, I wouldn't change it a bit!

 

That Tira outfit was on the table with the photo where Setsuka's legs were seen.

 

These are some pretty cool designs. I love Tira's. Her hair is a little weird, but what do you expect when they seem to resemble bird wings. Also look at that nicely placed snake on Ivy's design.

...well, in Broken Destiny it would be... so maybe... ^^

But yeah... Ivy's suits her high-class whore/drag queen look pretty well...
Tira's is nice too, but the hairs a bit odd... excellant graphics on the feathers...
Leixia's is a bit bland, but the transparency and heavy, heavy flower motif do make it stand out somewhat... i never liked her when she was revealed though...

I have a doubt, Ivy is doing a kick in one of the screenshots, wich kick is that? I can´t recognize the move... maybe 6AK kick?
