*UPDATED* Soulcalibur + Bayonetta = Huh?

While its nothing new that Namco has featured guest character designs in previous Soulcalibur games; this new one its a bit of a surprise, considering the source. In a new report from 1up; it has been announced that Mari Shimazaki has optioned to create three costumes for the game, including Leixia's 1P.

Mari Shimazaki was the character designer who came up with Bayonetta. The 1up article also features a bit more information about how Shimazaki found herself with the job, and a drop from Hisaharu Tago in how Bayonetta was one of their original guest character choices, but was excluded because of time constraints. Future DLC?

I think her 1P outfit takes that role. Looking at her new outfits, it seems that Ivy moved from her stripper status to the lady that runs the business during those 17 years.

 

That post reminded me of some shit that those Twitter Spammers send Daishi all day. Not sure, but when I recall these past few months the game was Soul Calibur 5. Not 2. The thing I love about these costumes is that their ORIGINAL not re-iterations of past games. Look at Maxi's 1P. Im sick of fans dragging us into this costume warp that we cant escape, I understand the want for classic costumes but this isnt Soul Calibur 2. If you want the costume, play that game and leave SC5 on the shelf

How do you go from costume choice to the whole complete game? Ivy's "original" alternative costume is nowhere near amazing (unless gift wrapping paper & polar bears is your thing).

I'll still pick up the game but I won't choose her second attire, just like I did for SCIV & SCIII. THANK GOD for creation mode because I'll have more attires to choose from.

I mentioned the previous IVY SC costumes only to give credit. Someone has to call BS when you fuck up three times.
