Yoshi Gameplay Videos

Lots of good stuff in there, for example 9B+K B+K G. But did he even try to air control out of the uppercut spam? EWGF is non-ACable. Ugh.

I’ll be interested to see what if anything people do with GI once they’ve had more hands-on time with the game. It seems as if people haven’t realized its great defensive strength, especially in mutual-low-health situations where you need to prevent damage and create an opening to deal just enough punishment.

@1:33. A+B bad breath. What's it's function this time besides [A+B]then K?

@1:45. bG as mentioned before seems so good. Pocky Yoshi likes.

@1:59-2:03. bG abuse then ninja blade rush(aka bA)

@2:05- 2:15. 3B then 2A+B, B. then doorknock. then 3B again. then earslicer. then doorknock again. then 2K.

@2:28. 44B+K for a lovely battlecry. <3

@4:00-4:10. 3B then imcf. then 2A+B, B. then doorknock. then doorknock again. then 2K.

@4:34. 9B+K G to get into DGF stance.

@4:42. More bG abuse. xD

@5:00. After the usual 1K, the Yoshi attempts to use MED A+K(aka meditation suicide) to connect them, but fails.

@6:07. Pocky Yoshi questions: Does Deathcopter still combo with Flea?

@6:32. Pocky Yoshi bonus quirk hehe ^^; I like the mask closed thing with the salute.

I left out a few things like 214A combos into Doorknock because every Yoshi knows that. I wonder if it also combos with 9B+K, K?

Oh well. This ends Pocky Yoshi's humble deciphering for the experts. Na-mu.....
 
Strange that he finishes his wall combos with DNK (Doorknocker, for those who are new visitors) into 2K instead of 3B. 3B clearly hits grounded in other parts of that video.

bG combined with a backdash is looking quite strong, although Yoshi's lack of range doesn't let him take as much advantage of a back dash as other characters.

9B+KKg is back. Let's hope it's safer than the SCIV version.

Wall combo stuns appear to be shorter in duration, or perhaps the game just plays faster. Either way, minus SCIV Yoshi's 3AB, he's looking as good as ever.

It "seems" that 1K JF Series as well as 4A JF a Series are easier to do,no? He was hitting them quite well....whoever played. Or was it a CPU Match? Then i would be surprised about the quality :)
 
CPUs don't back up into walls or do bG. In fact I barely ever see them back step at all.

He also did stuff after rounds ended. It couldn't have been more obvious that a human was playing Yoshimitsu.

Lulz. No matter, I'm happy to know that I will be hitting lab(after I work my fashion quirks and casual stuff) to discover more of Yoshi. *squeals*

And if its really easier to do his just frame series's thats just great! Cus don't forget those relaunch combos that yoshi had after 3B. 3B, 4AA...., 4AA..., aB+K

If those are easier to do now, thats just crazy.
 
Some of the mentioned "combos" from the video in combo notation:

@1:07: 3B, W!, 3B, W!, 3B, a:B+K, DNK, 2K
@1:27: 3B, a:B+K, DNK, 2K (After earslicer, opponent has to be relatively close to the wall for it to work).
@2:07: 3B, W!, 2A+B,B, DNK, W!, 3B, a:B+K, DNK, 2K
@4:03: 3B, W!, iMCF, 3B, W!, 2A+B,B, DNK, DNK, 2K
@6:06: 3B, a:B+K, 9A+B,G, 2A+B... (Might be a tech trap, might be step-able, but it hit, so im leaving it)
@6:21: 3B, W!, 2A+B,B, 3B, W!, DNK...

Also the backdash seems to be a solid wiff fisher for 6K. At least on characters that have short range. Im wondering if CH iMCF will still combo into a launcher, I feel they might have nerfed it.

It's too early to tell, but that's a big concern I got from this video.
 
Maybe it'll combo if there is a stun before iMCF, for example CH a:B+K or CH 44bB. This would make sense since it did launch in the wall combo ( W!, iMCF, 3B, W!...).

Either way is seems that at least it should combo into CE.

I'm concerned about that as well. The CH iMCF I saw in that match did not look like you could combo after it. If that's the case, the attack loses a lot of its usefulness. It will still be good, but not SC4 good.
