F.A.Q

What countries can participate?

This is open only to U.S. residents (Sorry Canada)

What happens if the match is laggy?

You should replay the match using a new host. If that doesnt work attempt to reconnect until you have a stable enviroment. If you cant, put in a ticket and have the match negated. If it happens in the bracket stage, you can try the new host again but ultimately will have to play it out.

Color Edits on Default Characters? Those are O.K as long as they don't serve as something that no longer makes the characters appear how they should normally in the game. Faces should be visible and nothing else that would obstruct the characters identity should be added. This means no hoods, masks, face paint, horns etc.

Create a Soul Characters?

No

Will this count for seeding or invitation to MLG Anaheim?

No. Although anyone that wins or participates is able to sign up for MLG Anaheim. Personally my opinion is no player that wins an online tournament should be seeded in an offline one.

Not as intense as my uncle will be when he sees this dent in his table........

Sending the bill to Namco for making my GI make me ethereal instead of actually GI'ing a move.

EDIT: Oh my god my hand really hurts right now......

I'm really sorry about your table... And your hand XD

Did anyone see that double XP weekend announcement?

As if the XP system wasn't already stupid as shit. Now we have this MMO gimmick, great.

Edit: Don't mean to sound like I'm some ingrate who doesn't appreciate MLG (and GameBattles/Sony) setting this up for us... but I am, and this is bull shit.

Have to strongly agree. We should be fine though since we're high up. I don't really care about being 1st in the ladder because it's only a ladder, I just wanna make sure I STAY in the top 32.. xD

Depending on the circumstance, I'm gonna "cram" battles 1-2 days per week. If we get a vast majority of wins, we can possibly relax for the other days, unless SCHEDULED matches come in the way... <_<

I highly doubt the double XP weekend will even affect the people who are good enough to be in the bracket. It seems like there are only 32 people actually committed to making it in the bracket anyway.

Ya except some good players are still learning that it exists and some people may have that CRAM session in mind and haven't done it yet.

So if the people who only have weekends off and use those for cram sessions, we're screwed.

That's assuming i can win at all.......

Relax nothin, I'm comin for your heads. ONLINE HYPE! OHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Wait. Both players have to report the scores? Man I hope that isn't a problem. As much as people rage quit/force lag to quit matches I just don't know about this. I thought some how PSN reported something via your console over interwebs... @.@

Have most of you had good experience with the other player reporting properly? I can't imagine everyone being honest , especially when money is on the line lol.

Out the 5 matches I've had so far everyone has taken this extremely professional and have posted scores accordingly, I have yet to see any problems in this case. I haven't had any force lag issues either and I have had very good experiences with the people I've played to date. I had an incident where an opponent didn't show up but it was far from nything stated in your post, he/she just didn't show.

As a community (minus the question rage) this has been handled very professionally so far. I just wish some matches were streamed cause I seen some really close results when poking my head at potential opponents, and if they were anything like my fight with Ragnarok, it would've been a treat to watch and get hype from.

i've scheduled matches for the following times.
sun 6 may 2012, 10:30 am -12:30 pm and 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm cdt
newbies are welcome. seeded players, i'll see you guys in top 32.
