Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

I can't believe what I'm reading here. I hope people do have enough oil in their heads to comprehend that since we have color edit since SC3 in every single game, we can and often do have secondary, tertiary and howevermuchyouwantary colors. It, quite literally, doesn't mean a thing, except for the fact that second costumes are, perhaps, not finished yet.

@DanteSC3: Well, it's not like old costume DLC is a foreign concept to SC games, so you can sleep calmly, assured that we are going to get old Nightmare's mask and a funky Astaroth mask adorned with those curved spiky things and stuff.

Look at Sophie's hand. The sword's floating lol. Hope they'll fix it.

I mean, that's her shield band. Did she not throw the sword to slash it and will catch it on the way back down? Her sword hand is down.

24 hours till Cassandra guys!! WHOOOO lol

Wait, who said SCV was a good game by just "gameplay" standards? That person needs to stop lying. SC is my favorite fighting game series and I can admit 5 was stripped if depth, charm and that SC "feel".
Thats why after about 2 years the compeitive scene for it all but died.

My friend made top 8 in 2 majors in 2016 (Summer Jam and I forgot the other) and he stopped playing the game in 2014. That speaks to how small the scene got and how simple the game honestly is. (Not saying my friend isnt a great player...cause he is)

SCVI is already said to be better by people who play SC competitively. They say it feels like 2, which is honestly the definitive one of the series. So, I think they could release a great game by June. They probably wont, it might be September but, they could.

The competitive scene did not die after 2 years. There were still multiple majors with international competition 4 years in both here in the U.S and France. Calibur has never had a consistently large tournament attendance, it lasted just as long as the other Calibur's did competitively technically even longer because Big E still supports it. Your friend quitting competition 2 years in says nothing about the tournament scene, its competition, or SCV's depth as a fighting game. People who say SC6 feels like SC2 are either living in the past and hoping for SC2 again or have no idea what they're talking about. SC6 feels like SC6. Saying SC2 is the definitive Calibur is subjective.

Speaking of keeping expectations low...

I'm not saying we won't get 2P costumes, but there were some characters in SCV that didn't get 2P outfits. Namely, the Alpha and Omega siblings, the three mimics, Dampierre, Algol and Ezio. That's actually like a quarter of the cast, at least if you go by the character select screen.

Would anyone be upset if this happened again? What if your main character only had the one outfit? Speaking as a Taki fan, I'd be pretty damn disappointed.
