Xianghua Movelist Analysis

Xianghua's SCIII & IV 11_77K is now in BBK.

You mean 6K(A) ~ BHH K. BHH K is Xianghua's old 6bK from SCIII & SCIV.

Regular 44A is the about the same and stuns on CH. 44(A) Slight Charge is NC. 44(A) Max is +18 and gives CH 6BB combos.

6bK was useful in SCIV b/c it was rarely used, however the combo into BHH K as you've correctly described is I think not useful in serious competitive play, especially now that it comes from a visually obvious stance. If the post-K siderolls are actually evasive then maybe it still has purpose.

I also think that BHH K seems very very gimmicky and will lose its purpose very quickly, if it's launchpunishable on block.
I hope docvizzo gets to test some things I asked him to check on Friday so we know a little bit more.
Also I'm kind of disappointed that her old 2B+G ~ BT B+K doesn't give a free launch.
I hope there's something big nobody has found yet, because until now Xianghua seems pretty basic. If they focus a lot on SXS I hope it gets better frame data than SC4 SXS where it felt more like a gimmick than an actual strategic tool.

SXS K now hit grounded opponents & launches them.
 
Well, SC6 was a lot of fun. I won the first SC6 tournament on Swedish soil (tiny, best out of 1 match, single elimination, 1st to 3 rounds), held by Bandai Namco's demo bus at Närcon 2018. Xianghua's fun.

Fun notes:
* Old 33_99B can be canceled after 2 spins (no other cancels that I could find but I might have messed up the timing)
* 4BA does not appear to combo into CE even on CH.
* CH 6BB will combo into turnaround K, turnaround 2K, B+K. 6BB ~ B+K ~ 3B and 6BB ~ B+K ~ CE work and are guaranteed. I'm also pretty sure CH 6BB into CE works. I didn't even hit G, just hit CE. Xianghua just autocorrected herself. I disagree with CH 6BB ~ BT B+K ~ CE being a waste. It does only slightly less damage than a raw CE..
* Because of how the 2nd hit of 3B+K, K hits, it is supremely unreliable, even at close range. I've had it whiff even when Xianghua was right next to the opponent when the 2nd hit came out. I recommend relying entirely after 6KA after a successful launcher (except for when 6BB launches opponents behind X, then go B+K ~ 3B (unless G ~ 3B+KK grants more damage, never tried it) or B+K ~ CE).
* I dunno if it works after just one rep, but the guardcrush move that's performed by hitting R2 with no meter (A+B?), if you hit the opponent's guard with it twice and then grab them, X will get the RO sidegrab instead of a normal grab. I assume it works after only one rep, but I never got to try it out afterwards.

I posted on the X forum but I'll post here too:

I got my hands on SCVI for a bit during Evo. You can still do the half-circle around to the other side when inputting 88_22B to make it go in the same direction. So 889632_223698B. It seems to be a little bit easier too, 'cos I hit it the very first time I tried to do it. I know everyone sleeps on that little bit of tech but I found it very useful to maintain my evasion and get consistent whiff launches.
 
Pretty sure I 6KA ringouts better ow and that I just discovered a hitherto unknown move (while facing Keev no less).

I'm fairly certain it's done from the low stance. It's basicaly a taunt. Xianghua turns her bac to the opponent and slaps her butt while giggling. It has a hitbox! I've replicated it once but can't figure out what the input is. I think she had it in IV but can't remember seeing it in VI yet.

Xianghua gets alternate lines under certain circumstances. It appears that if she faces Nightmare in either the burning castle or forest at night, she'll get alternate lines.

Her 4B+K becomes "I'll carve my own fate!" (Yes, really) and Crybaby becomes either "Aaugh!" or "You're so mean!" (but not both. So if you for instance get "Aaugh", it'll be that way for that entire particular match.

SXS K+G has multiple taunts.
 
I think they changed the property on 6B B because now it doesn’t fling them behind you unless on CH. this change might have already been noted since te E3 build but just noticed it
