Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

The game's fun but goddamn do they need to fix the netcode. The lag can be atrocious, where at worst it's like watching a slideshow.

Agreed, I was feeling input lag and some times takes awhile for a match. Also not to make another post, wonder why no hdr? Last thing things I hope they support this game not just with dlc but patches and stuff. Add in hdr later on, balancing, fixes to floating armor, free stuff sometimes etc... etc.....

Are you playing on PS4? I play on PC and it's pretty smooth (Like Tekken 7 was) but on PS4 I find the lag to be unbearable and only played 30 mins

Xbox actually. I’m guessing consuls are having a hard time because of the traffic?
 
Any reason why the button mapping is set so we have only ONE button for each command rather than issuing commands to buttons ??

Has no one else had this complaint ??

CAS DLC can't come soon enough. I can't believe how limited CAS is for something that's one of the game's biggest appeals. I mean, the selectable races are cool, it's nice having all the main characters' costumes available from the get-go, and the improvements they did make were great, but why did we lose so much in the transition?

Whenever I go to CAS to try to make something cool, I often draw blanks because the parts I imagine aren't there in any way. I hope the DLC in the Season Pass adds more content that's genuinely new and exciting, adding more to the experience, because if 90% of it is just recycled stuff from SCV, I'm calling bullshit.
 
Maybe i just didn't see, but i would like so much filters to ease navigation in other players' creations list, and a tool to fast search by creation/player name, or based on what character for recolor/redesign. There are many other players' creations i would like to play with/against in single player modes, but it's not easy to find them.

I agree completely. I was gonna try import some stuff from V, but too much is gone, styles included. Can't import any iiato users, can't have a manly sword and board character without Pat. Then I thought, "Hey, let's make Goblin Slayer with that helm I never used in IV or V" and boom, no Leviathan Helm. :/ No Dancer Breastplate and the Paladin hips interfere with the skirts so no Zelda for me. No Feathers of Strength, no circlet headgear, no separate manipulatable elf ears, the list goes on and on.
 
I searched the forum but didn't find any Good Game thread. Wouldn't it be nice to have one ? It's a very common thing to say yet it's the only message that is not listed in the online chat.
 
Speaking of which, why did they remove the ability to freely type?

You know it's really funny how this game is better than SCV in so many ways yet is missing these little things.

I haven't tried casual rooms yet, I'm in completel shock if this is true. ._.
 
Can you not use downloaded CaS in online matches? My friends were trying to use them in a lobby but they weren't accessible at all. Why?
 
I completely agree that the game is imperfect, especially regarding some casual aspects I like (less CaS items, no 2Ps...), but the game is gorgeous, the modes are quite well done (for those present)... I can only hope this will be fixed sooner or later.

I am just heartily glad we have a new game to enjoy, and with the promising start it's having, I can only hope for a brighter future, might it be for DLCs (YES, I, the one totally opposed to that, said it) or for SCVII. "The Legend will never die..."

I often don't like the misuse of DLC but you can tell they really tried the best they could with what they had, so if they can make the game even better with it, and keep the series alive, I'm all for it.
