Yes they would be pissed but they would be even more pissed if the dlc was returning characters they don't like. I guess the way im looking at it is 50% of people extremely pissed vs 90% pissed. You also need to think of New players because bamco definitely is. Alot of uneducated new players will see most of those returning characters as clones so idk if it's a good idea from that point of view but idk I'm just thinking out loud here. All I really know is the game will be ruined for me if two characters I don't care about come back while the characters I've played in every SC game don't.

I've opposite opinion.

I would prefer Setsuka or Hilde but if last 2 slots are for :
the hilarious lizardman, the funny Cassandra, the only dao user Hwang/Hyun-Seong, the cute little Amy, the original Viola, the nice powerful Rock, etc.
They are all more than welcome and i prefer them all over any guest !

And i prefer to see you happy with Hwang and welcoming back a dao user from SC3, than almost all sad with another guest.
Now if you ask if i would prefer classic Edgemaster or ugly Algol over another guest, it's harder for me.
But i know they are classic and have their place and their fans too in the serie, so welcome too ! Welcome back Olcadan ? Good !

That's fine everyone is entitled to their opinion but I also must ask if a character you wanted to play as is in the game because if the character I wanted was I would agree 100% with you. I do want all the characters back but it's impossible with the way it stands now so I honestly don't know what to expect and I think we all should be prepared if we don't get old characters back.

100% Honestly, your main Hwang/Yun-Seong is absent while my favorite characters Seong Mi-Na, Xianghua and Raphael are all aready here.
Setsuka and Hilde are a 4th choice for their original fighting style and classy design.
And i'm obviously subjective because liked a lot Hwang in Mi-Na chronicle story and enjoyed playing with dao user in SC3, especially on Egyptian temple.

Now i temper what i wrote before apply if it's the last soul calibur and we don't get a season pass 2. Then i would prefer 100% any classic character over any guest, even my favorite guest.
If the price to get a SC7 and a 2nd season pass is to get Overwatch Hanzo or cs:go bots with knife skin, well let's go backwards, but let's still go. You can even add a battle royale mode if it helps. *facepalm*

The sad thing is I don't even think I would be able to enjoy having Hwang or Yun because I would still feel bad for those who don't get their main back.

You're nice but enjoy it and we will be a lot to enjoy playing it with you ! Korean dao users are much more popular than you imagine, i'm sure most SC3 players would welcome open-armed Hwang/Yun-Seong !

Hmm, I can't find any story screenshot for 2B. They would always show one for each character after E3 (where the story modes were revealed). I wonder if she'll get no Soul Chronicle (if so, that would probably be the case for the other DLC characters too).

Also, I just got a phone call from Olcadan. He was FUMING. He was shouting, cawing and making all kinds of sounds. Apparently, Namco didn't trust Olcadan enough to ever tell him about 2B. So I suppose Namco was actually showing some care about 2B to minimize the chances of the announcement leaking.
