Just uninstall the game or don't play it until the next dlc comes. You'll care less and less and then you won't be frustrated. Just accept that soulcalibur will always be Tekken's bitch.

I'm at acceptance. But I'm still bitter as hell. It sucks to be a soulcalibur fan when we are constantly given scraps compared to some shitty Dragonball game and tekken.
At this stage Haohmaru will have taken 1/3rd of an entire fucking year to release.

I wonder if I am the only one who wants SC to change its current realistic aesthetic. Street Fighter had different cartoonish styles before settling for this new foul clay/realistic look. With how far games like Guilty Gear Xrd, Naruto games, Cuphead have come displaying its characters like a real drawing, would be cool to see SC shake it up a little or maybe for a Soul Edge spin off. So we could have something that looks like this would be awesome. Like real book drawing style in action!

As much as I like Baiken (my choice of guest from Guilty Gear), I'd rather we not see more guests especially since Hwang and Yun-seong ain't back yet. :(Yes, reveal a true samurai..
On a side note, I hope that Arc System Works reveal her for Guilty Gear -STRIVE- as part of the launch roster this time. Baiken being excluded from launch would be some real bullshit blazing.
I've said before that I don't want to see anymore guests but if we're gonna get one from Final Fantasy then I'd rather it not be from subjectively one of the worst Final Fantasy entries (no offense lol). As mainstream as it is, Bandai Namco would probably pick Cloud and/or Sephiroth as the guest character in SoulCalibur VII for a VII x VII collaboration. Final Fantasy VII isn't my favorite by the way in case you're wondering but it is objectively the most popular and recognizable one as much as I'd hate to admit it.True samurai, you say?

I mean I know and I can’t disagree with what you’re saying, I’m still just lamenting that Lightning for SoulCalibur V would have been too perfect, and it was kind of made extra annoying that they picked up Ali Hillis for a custom character voice. I’m pretty sure there isn’t Maaya Sakamoto for Cynical on the other side, but if it was, that would be all the more salt in the sound. But they were practically begging to be noticed, it seemed like, with Final Fantasy XIII-2 having Caius with literally Soul Edge for a weapon, and Lightning armoring up as a holy warrior to take him down.

I think it would be funny if we got Tifa in SoulCalibur, since Tekken got a weapon based FF character.

Not quite actually, Square Enix has another division that can work on FF16 separate from the FF7R team (not all of the top FF devs are on FF7R). Rumors that float around is that the division behind FF14 is working on FF16 on the side. I personally think this is a good thing as the team behind FF14 knows what they're doing (a good number of them worked on FFT, FF11, FF12, and I think even FF9).
But even if Final Fantasy XVI is the latest Final Fantasy game by the time SoulCalibur VII comes out, I still think that it's going to be Cloud that will be chosen as the guest character since he's a major video game icon and Final Fantasy VII Remake parts are likely to still be in development (it will probably be renamed into Final Fantasy Versus VII lol). Personally I would like to see a Dragoon if the guest is from Final Fantasy but the iconic Dragoons aren't popular enough (Kain, Estinien, etc.) in my opinion and I doubt the main character of FF16 will even be a Dragoon.

On a side note, with all the talk about guest characters, I would be pretty upset if we get Jon Snow as a guest character on a potential SoulCalibur VI Season 3 because of dumb fan requests. I swear the ending of Game of Thrones still left a bitter taste in my mouth and I personally think he's not a good fit.
My two favorite guest characters that appeared in the series so far are 2B because I love NieR: Automata and Link because he got me into SoulCalibur but the best fit for the series is definitely Ezio and Geralt. These two fit in SoulCalibur almost seamlessly, Ezio more so.
