Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Viola is my favorite SC character, thus, you choosing this music for the stage makes me really happy. Although I prefer Wandering Seer, since it's my favorite music...
I have wanted to use Dance of the Oracle as stage music since 2012, so finally able to, I must. Same for Through the Jaws of Death. I will never understand going through the effort to make those compositions and then locking them off from use. Spark of Fate and Thanatos were the same in SoulCalibur IV, but SoulCalibur V at least let you use Thanatos, which I absolutely did. I am so happy to see SoulCalibur VI buck this trend. I lost it when Dance of the Oracle came back for Amy’s Soul Chronicle, and was again upset it remained unusable, and then season two added it.

I was ecstatic, or at least as much as I am capable. :sc4amy1:

I like Algol as a character and what he brings to the lore, and his stories with his son and with Kamikirimusi brought up an emotional response, so there’s that. His fighting style is just kinda goofy with the bubble cannons and throne dropping and spiked appendages. He’s certainly unique. if nothing else. I would enjoy seeing him and Azwel fight each other.

My current hostility towards Algol is due to rude fans on twitter bashing Hwang and the notion that Algol should get in over Yun-Seong, Rock or Lizardman....

What the hell would his story even be? Cutscenes of him in his underwear while being frozen/asleep? The story isn't ready for him, not until SC7.

He could follow in Zasalamel’s footsteps and just monologue to himself while in stasis.

Do you have any theories on what Hwangs story could be? We’ve gone over this, but I honestly don’t know what to expect because the DLC stories haven’t been like the standard roster ones. They have been longer so far, with more of a hint to the future

Algol looks great but the fighting style of his visually looks wack. If Algol had a moveset where he switches stances between Soul Edge, Soul Calibur or both he would look cool as fuck to play. I'm hoping Project Soul makes this change to him, probably piss off the Algol fans but I can't help but feel what I feel. I mean just look at this at what he could have been.

I dunno, I stand by Hwang and Aeon being initially planned to be base roster, not DLC, so his story I mostly see as being a foil to Mi-na’s, showing his journey to find her, along with his interactions with the coast guard, giving more of a world building aspect to Korea and their search for Soul Edge. Oh, and a Yun-seong cameo for sure.

Do u think Setsuka is going to be revealed soon? Okubo sayed there would be suprises in Spring. Also, this is the month of « Cherry Blossom » in Japan... Even if we shouldn’t except something like that from PS..

We just got Haohmaru released. Even if the files are real and indicate that Setsuka is well into development, Project Soul really loves waiting...for months... I don't expect a reveal until at least June honestly.

Remember, future content could be delayed due to the virus outbreak.
Well, let's be more precise here: this will delay future content; we're only talking about the question of degree. Japan is already pretty badly hit and though it has a modern and robust medical infrastructure to help contain the disease some, it also has one of the highest population densities in the world. In short, restrictions on travel and the impacts on productivity in all sectors are going to be going up. And though making a game is arguably something you can do with virtually all of your staff sheltering at home, with the right cloud solutions and telecommuting tech, we are still talking about real delays for every kind of product.

And that's before you even factor in the recession that is settling in; the games industry is somewhat immune to that (as a temporary matter anyway) because of the increased purchases at the front end by people not used to being cooped up and desperate for distractions, but sooner or later people are going to begin to focus exclusively on essentials as they feel the pinch more and more. Projects will be delayed and even cancelled as this continues, you can bet your last quid. I think Season Pass 2 probably already has a firm roadmap and probably a fair bit done on Setsuka and Hwang, so I wouldn't expect the drop dates will be drastically different from what would have happened sans corona, but there will certainly be some impact, and I think the difference will be at least marginally noticeable.

Hi everyone! usually i didn't play online with random people, but today I decided to do otherwise. I found a suitable lobby, where you can play for custom characters and... After every my win some people leave the room until i become alone in lobby...

I'm sorry, but am i doing something wrong? Am i playing a game wrong? Is there really some kind of ethic in the game that I accidentally violated?

UPD.: Okey, nevermind. Other lobby don't leaves after my victory)))
