Soul Calibur 6 CaS Discussion

Maybe we can request it to be patched in if it's not there at launch.
If we just set a petition for selective armor break (for CaS), as well as an off switch (selectable for both CaS and cast) it'd make everyone happy.

If it was like this I'm sure everyone will be happy.

CaS armor break: auto/manual/off
Cast armor break: Normal/off

I imagine the CaS one should be in the creator, with a choice of how we want to edit it. Auto is how armor breaks by default on the CaS, manual giving us a choice of what breaks on each level, and off being self explanatory.

I like the armor break as it is personally. It's consistent. I just feel this option would make everyone happy.

Returning to the "unpairing paired equipment" theme - I'd like if we were able to choose separatly parts of sets of paired weapons.
Like choosing a Sword form one set and Shield form another for Soph, or different swords for Cerv, etc

yeah... seems like a no brainer option lol

i like the armor break too but I think certain breaks are a bit extreme (like pants, or the accessories)

that would actually be a cool idea but with the way they have the weapons filtered I doubt it even crossed their heads.

Also for SoulCharge colors, why there is only 3 locked types? Why can't it be customizable to be whatever color - green, purple, black, white, etc.
It's just a flaming aura, it shouldn't be too hard to make it different color.

If it's anything like other previously unlockable CaS stuff (hit effects etc.) I imagine there will be more you can unlock. If not, seems like a wasted opportunity.

At least that’s an option. Unlike facial hair. But hey, I get to take good screenshots of my customs.

Hope we can get our replays saved so I can get some great shots. At least it’s easy to remove the Replay text in GIMP... And the fact we can record easily makes it easier to find the right shot.

I'm new to the forum but been following some Sc6 threads for a while. Decided to join as I may have noticed something interesting I don't think anyone has picked up on yet.

Can't be sure but from these screenshots it appears like we might be able to "edit manually" layers of equipment similar to how the 'extra' equipment can be changed (size, width, length, back/forward etc). This would be a huge step forward if true in order to close gaps of empty space under armor (think sc4/sc5) which can render many parts useless as they just look ridiculous (too fat / clipping etc)

See the two screens below - first one showing the extra menu for "manual editing" and the one below for torso (outer layer) where it looks like the user has just selected an option to "edit manually" (see the small white text at the top showing the menu path on both images - you may have to zoom in a bit) where I theorise that the next screen would bring up a set of sliders much like the extra menu does for manual editing.

There may not be anything to this, but there is no option to "edit manually" the normal equipment sections in sc5 (only possible for extra items) so it's possible this is something new that hasn't been shown yet. Would be a superb addition to the system in order to add the extra level of polish to our characters. We'll have to wait and see!

It’s actually for choosing equipment yourself rather than having it generated.

That could be all it means but it's still curious that the same wording "edit manually" is used for both the extra item menu and torso slot also in the menu path. If the torso slot cannot be edited manually as per the extra menu then you would think they would just have "select/change torso outer layer" similar to SCV - see screen below.

It's probably for color editing, at least that's what I would have thought.

Edit: Also, I just noticed that one of the items in the upper body equipment mode looks like the Usurpers or Defender equipment from SC4? idk just crossed my mind.

Not sure if this was asked/confirmed already, but does anyone know if characters will change appearance upon certain Soul Charges(Kilik, Groh, and Azwel specifically)?

Also will we still be able to make custom costumes for the actual cast, Geralt included? I have so many ideas for costumes for everyone.

Little confused on your first question? Yeah I guess? Like we see it gameplay. Groh goes super sayian and his arm armor breaks off, kiliks unleashes his dark hado thing, azwel explodes his shirt and becomes a muscle wizard.

As for the second question yes, although I don't think you can for geralt, we haven't even seen his armor break off.

It's hard to tell from the limited footage available at the moment. But it seems that libra of soul creation is independent of the main creation mode, meaning you won't be able to create a bunch of characters in CaS then simply choose one to use in libra. It looks like the libra creation has to be done seperate when you start and there are limited equipments available until you've played and bought/unlocked more. I would hope I'm wrong though, because as I said the footage available is quite limited.

I for one was hoping you could have multiple saves on the go so as to be able to play libra with more than one of your creations. But if this isn't possible I think it's been confirmed that you can edit your character during the libra campaign at any time, although I'm not sure as to the extent (for instance changing sex/race of the character or only equipment/appearance).

Anyone know more on this?

I meant like for CaS. Will they be affected too by those certain Soul Charges by using those styles or do they just glow?

You can definitely change race and gender whenever you want, as well as equipment and style.

As for transferring a created character I don't know, seems like a lost opportunity if you can't transfer back and forth but then again I'm not sure that was an option in 3 with the CaS game mode either.

Honestly there's allot of very simple obvious no brainer options PS seems to just not consider so I wouldn't put it past them.

Ohhhhhh... that I'm not sure of, judging by the fact that both hairstyles for groh, kilik, and azwel are available maybe not? Though it is unconfirmed so take that with a grain of salt.
