Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Talim CE has become really good, she can spamm it, no risk since can turn back before the third strike, and also recover some HP if it hits, i don´t know if it is new or not but just realize it.

I noticed it for the first time myself yesterday--I think it's new. It's kind of an odd fit for her, honestly, insofar as the is supposed to be a little pacifistic (as these go in caliburverse, I guess!). I honestly question if she needed it--she's turning into quite the little powerhouse, as is honestly.

I think it was added in the recent patch. Should be in the notes somewhere.

She’s really not as hard to deal with as most people make her out to be. While I do appreciate the changes to her CE she still retains her main issues regarding her stance transitions (namely that all of her stances can be shut down with AA and she doesn’t have any fast lows from stance).

Yeah, but her stance game is not really where she is strongest, honestly. (Unless you are talking about her backstance, but I don't think you are, since AA does shit against that). In this entry, more so than ever before for her, she's a pain in the neck once she closes the gap. I mean, she's by no means a top tier character; you just have to be patient, know her strings and frames and pick your opening. But some people as recently as the latest patch have been complaining that she needs more buffing, and I just don't see it. She hasn't been this competetive in a long time. She was my main or secondary main all through SCII-SCIV, and playing her was a real labour of love, because you could make her work, but only if you were willing to put in the work--especially in IV, what a chore! That's still the same to some extent, because she still does a pitiful amount of damage per discrete attack, but its now viable for her to press her advantage hard once in close. If you don't know your specific match-up options against her, or you slip up on your guard/GI timing, that damage will add up fast.

@Rusted Blade While I agree with what you're saying, my original point was more so regarding how most of the complaints I hear about are directed at her stance options.

Edit: You were right about BT not being included. I never really considered it as a stance on any character besides Voldo since everyone has it.

I just don't get why it's taking so long to get CAS DLC. Even for as shitty as SCV was, it at least got the CAS DLC right off the bat. What is going on?
DLCs in SCV were disc-locked, namely finished well before the game's release. here I assume that the DLCs weren't finished when the game went gold, reason why they might need some adjustments before being available.

Some of it may have been, but definitely not all of it. If it was, then the DLC parts we have thumbnails for that never got released would be usable through hex editing or other means.

I doubt anything released after the Cepheus Store launched was on-disc. A lot of it could have been completed before launch, but I doubt any of it was disc-locked. If they were, why would we have needed the compatibility packs for them to be usable?
