if 3A ~ 2A+B is a combo. it might be possible to connect 3A with CE.
but I'm not sure the CE will be long enough to reach

also CE ing grounded opponent on close range will do more damage and more stun than the far one I think

Sig at TGN:
WS'AA & 3A went under Ezio's high arrows. Nice
Whiff punish with new 22B~SCH then OTG with SCH'BE. Good
SSH'B whiffed like SC4 22B whiffs vs rival on Sig's left, lame.

Hey folks, just a couple of clarifications on the movelist in the brief time I had to play with SC5 Sieg. Apologies if this information was already known.

SCV's 66A is actually the high horizontal guard break (which I guess looks a little like SC4's RSH A).

SCV's 22_88A is what looks like SC4's old 66A except it's a mid horizontal now.

I assume there's no way to get the old SC4 22_88A except out the 3A fake now.

SCV's 6K is SC4's 4K. SC4's 6K replaces the old SSH K from stance.

SCV's SSH B does not let you transition into SCH :(. However you can now do SSH BBB with the last hit you can hold B to into SCH.

SCV's RSH A is SC2's Nightmare 66A I believe.

Excellent. Thanks Jian.

As for the list, I'm gonna stop updating this, since compensating for BE and other such stuff without knowing the commands is getting to be a little ridiculous. When the game comes out I'll either update this or make a new topic that lists the changes for Siegfried for SC4 to SC5.

Hey Jian, while we were there, did you happen to notice if 22_88B by itself was minus on block? Nobody was attempting to punish me (likely because of its resemblance to SC4 b4), but the move seems pretty good if it's +, stance transition cancelable, and has a second followup that tracks HELLA left, as shown when I played against Human Typhoon at 6:28. He was throwing out a limb, but this is still pretty off axis.
And to the right at 1:22

Hm, I'm a bit lost there. So are you saying that, in fact, the two string attack (reminding of SC2 Nightmare's BB) you can cancel into SCH is 22_88BB rather than B4B like it is listed on this thread ?

It would make sense though, since 22_88B was until now thought to be a guard crush version of B4.

So is B4 really that guard crush move now ? (You'll have to excuse my english, so sorry I can't get clearer lol)

Yes, if you input 22_88B, you get a move that appears similar to the old B4. If you press B again, you get SCII NM's B,B. You can input it pretty slowly as well. That's why you often see Sieg stepping before he does the move... because it's an 8WR move.

Keep in mind, however, that B4 is still there. It's a more exaggerated version that guard crushes now.

But yes, that's why I was asking Jian if he had been punished for doing standalone 22_88B, because nobody was punishing me at all for it. I chalk it up as people being afraid to try because of the new game factor.

OK, I've read somewhere that A+K... moves will change, as that bind was too difficult to pull (what?!)...
So, since many people have tried SCV's Sieg, may I ask if he still has those A+Ka2AA, A+KAAB, etc..., or they have been simplified to the 8WR vesions?

SCV A+Ka2A etc. is exactly the same as IV. These moves were pretty fundamental to Sieg, or so the Dev's thought apparently. His A+K is one of the only ones that have, for the most part, remained untouched. Select other characters still have A+K moves, but I can't remember who was listed off the top of my head. Sorry! ^^

When we sat down at NEC with Daishi-san and his translator Yoshi-san, a lot of people were taken back when that subject came up. He did a good job of explaining why he thought it was necessary... sort of a SF4 simplicity reboot. He said it is quite literally a reboot, in that as with the previous games, following sequels will get progressively more technical again. They just thought the Fighting Game Community kind of needed this, and I tend to agree with him. Hey if losing a couple of inputs increases the scene's size like it did for SF4, I'll deal with it for a game or two. I'm willing to think long-term along with Daishi-san.

When I first heard this game was coming out, I have to admit I was only mildly interested. Now, I haven't been this hyped for a game to drop on console since SCII (only I can't practice at the arcade like I could for II, lol). This game is fucking amazing guys. Get hype for it! /endrant

I had only used 22_88B on it's own without the 2nd followup. It rings out on its own without the follow up which is pretty nifty. Not sure if 22_88BB is punishable since I threw it out only once, but hopefully the first B is safe at least.

I can confirm with Nightblade that B4 is a Guard Crush now.

A+K didn't seem to work for me anymore. It seems you have to access that series through 22_88K now. This sucks for my fellow pad players but I'm sure with some practice we can get down pat again. This could change in the final build though.

Hmm... As I've learned how to do iAGA, I believe I'll adjust to that as well...
But, honestly I really hope they'll keep the A+K series in the end...
Oh, well, it's OK.
HYPE-HYPE-HYPE!!!
IN ALMOST 1 AND A HALF MONTH WE'LL BE PLAYING SCV... MANFRIED!!!

Oh shit, Jian you might be right. I think I was using the 8wr version of it at NEC. I thought I remembered somebody saying Sieg's was still there along with a couple of others, but that was during the Fireside Daishi Time, which was a big blur of awesome, so I may be mistaken. I hope I'm not, though. x_x
