Ivy SCIV->SCV Changes

I think SW 22B offers nothing guaranteed on NH. At least that's how it looks. The effect on hit is exactly the same as SC4's Xianghuas NH 3B. Maybe I'm wrong, though.

With 22K, let's hope that at least CL214B will be guaranteed. It was shown in one of the earlier videos (22K>CL214B). The first hit of CL214B seems to hit grounded opponents in SCV.

RCC? Maybe SW 22K, RCC 1B+K ( preferably with SC3's 2P glitch. I'm sure some people here still remember that :P) but I don't think so. 22K appears to have some strange recovery preventing many moves from connecting as guaranteed followups =S

Ye, i remember someone mentioned that. lol, just cant find that atm...

With 22K, mbe its how they fall? (head towards or feet).

Think 22B>2B is combo based from reading the "combo counter" of 2hits. Altho sometimes he drops it and no combo chain.

RCC was a pain to execute back in SC3... and if they block the momentum gone...:(
 
22K > CL 214B at 1:13

In the TGS vids, players appear to have problems executing any move after 22K. The moves come out too slow for some reason.

22B to 2B you will have to test yourself when you get the chance ;)
 
Ah that vid. Thats like the 1st build revealed. If the minor details matter then mbe a 22K into head fall makes it longer to standup.

lol. the Oct1-2 build Im gonna try is probably different to TGS and the one Kayane/Malek is gonna see. Ohwell...

Here 22B>214K was 5-hits on combo counter. (watched elsewhere 214K is 4 hits otg)
 
214K damage is ridiculously low. Even lower than in BD. I hope it has + frames on hit at least, otherwise it's gonna be pretty useless.

Im not surprised being that alot of ppl requested for the damage to be nerfed, even Ivy players. I hope that the 22k doesnt stay with no ganruntted follow up and the damage becomes a little higher on 214k, it should be 15-25 damage so the combo gets 30-45 damage at least. CL 3b needs to launch like it did in Sc4, NH launch but can be Just oki'd and CH is garunteed. Especially with the new systems of BE,JG and Gi's if they are esaier now with meter.

Im am a little happier with Ivy seeing these new video's, though i still think 3 Stance would be better but this isnt horrible. Hopefully The Ivy hate doesnt cloud the developers minds and they nerf good tools unessicarly or to serverly.
 
ive seen some pretty interesting things and im happy all her main moves seem to be in there,there doesnt seem to be any real move shortage at all
i saw WP 44A+B and WP 3A+B be canceled like in SC2,if they brought back the spiral stances if you cancel it you could have the option to go to one one them like it used to when they were there, it think it would make a lot of sense for her to do that

i saw her 7_8_9B ark move not the SW version one,it seems to put her in WR, because after that i saw her do WP WR B.B it was really cool,im glad the ark jump move has a purpose aswell as the SW version now
seems SW A+B unblockable can probably be hidden again and be done quicker than holding it in fully and such to mess with the opponents head
i hope CL 4A+B can be canceled to give WR moves still

ive seen some good long range moves but she seems a little lacking,if she still has all three ranges of WP 1B+K then it will be fine since ive only seen the short range one so far
its annoying CL 3B does not launch normally
im glad ive seen SS been done without using meter,i hope the damage isnt lower if it is done normally
i hope ivy doesnt end up too throw orientated like i have seen,or maybe thats just because the player was trying to do SS

SW 214K and CL 6A.K are pathetic now
WP 3A seems too slow now
SW 3A and B are there but i havent seen how they stun yet or SW 6B that i have seen,they will probably just make them fall down with the stun not leadng to good combos,if any really,
i saw SW 6B be used as a BE which stunned and landed them on a ground probably for SW 214K follow up-not very good
i hope they dont overdo it with nerfing her stuns and her damge is too low in quite a few cases
i hope she is considerably more safe now especially because of her seeming lack of damage and combos,for now
CL 6A is it?that extends and gives the AT throw on CH ought to be better i think

i saw the WP like version of CL 214B.B she also seems to be able to kinda pull it back or something, i think this was a low ,it stopped them for a second and a bit too but it wasnt a stun,maybe you could do WP 3B+K after?if its still there i hope there isnt just the shortest version of that move now or short and mid
i have only seen WR B+K once,maybe it has been nerfed?? barely seen CL 214B and SW 7_8_9B
too so these may not be as good now aswell

what do you think?i hope you dont think im complaining too much,this has worked out a lot nicer than i thought but there are some problems i wasnt expecting like her rubbish stuns etc
 
Don't worry about complaining - moaning about Ivy before release then finding her to be OP is something of a growing tradition here XD.
I will however say that with the new changes, I'm greatly looking forward to trying her out. =D
 
Hopefully thats the case and there r still more things to play with that has not shed light.

CL 214B seems relatively safe...it gets spammed a lot in sousuhi's vids and no one seem to be able to do anything about it on block. Unless they justguard second hit. The good thing its retained its tracking.

I like the WP version CL 236BB, 2nd part have amazing pushback since its multi-hit, its gonna be hard to just guard without screwing up. Still they can justguard the 1st hit and step everything....

We don't know CL 214B's frames but to me it looks super unsafe due to lack of pushback and force crouch. If it's still approx -20 on guard then it's going to be a very risky tool, not really worth using.

214k looks Really bad now, it should have either lost push back or FC on block but not both, because it looks pretty free to punish. I feel the same about Sw 3B on block and the knock down on NH is kinda so-so because now Ivy cant mix you up, you have to play with diffent charcters oki's now, which is good and bad. Why are they using the stun from Bd? It looks bad Sc4 stun effect looked way better.

Wp 7_8_9 giving Wr looks nice im sure it's probably still not that good but at least now we cant get a little something out of it. I think the Damage on SS and CS is 75 now, Im pretty sure that would have killed Mits in 4 still.
 
Has anyone seen Ivy with her sword visually in Whip State? Or is it always going to stay looking like Sword State with WP, CL and SW all in one? I haven't seen her sword looking like WP yet..
 
Lol yeah i figured it was still bad just that now if you do for whatever reason hit it, it will at least lead to something so im not mad at that but i do agree it still looks bad. I wonder does 214B lead to anything now that there isnt (since we havent seen it yet anyway) SE anymore?

@Mage the only time i saw it in Wp is on the Character Select Screen which gave me a little hope that we might get a real WP state.

You missed the sarcasm in my post, lol. Of course gameplay is more important, especially in a thread like this.
 
I mean I don't like the yellow glow but we can discuss that elsewhere.

These videos have me very excited though.

I am disappointed that we have not seen WP 6AA yet. :( I thought that move was very iconic for her.

I am also disappointed that while, she looks like a lot of fun, we have yet to see any new stuff.
