Namco Reveals Nightmare, Raphael and Leixia!

Okay, so technically, we all knew these characters were coming... Nightmare was leaked by Daishi several months ago on his Twitter, Leixia was soft-announced at this year's EVO, and Raphael was pseudo-revealed through some clever detective work dealing with the resumés of musicians.

I myself got a chance to play these characters and more at the closed-door press conference earlier in the week and I will give some short impressions about them, and the game in general tomorrow. There are many more announcements coming during the next few weeks, so keep paying attention!

It's OK guys, Sophi/Night Terror is going to be the boss of the game.

 

Don't know why people say Leixia looks like an alt of Xianghua. Leixia has a different face, she looks much better imo.

So Nightmare has a huge sword, arm-shield, curly eyelashes, and a codpiece. Sexually ambiguous, just as I like 'em ;)

Leixia is a damn pretty thing and Raph has always been meh to me...

It's most likely going to be Nightmare's ultimate weapon for when you beat his story. (If they still have that kind of thing from part 4.)
Although look at his arm. It looks like a combination of his regular arm and Patroklos's shield.
Does any one agree or am I just making weird guess's?

 

Don't get the Raphael costume hate. I'm totally digging his look.

 

I don't hate it, I've just never been into his character and his new look is nothing special to me.

Minus the hat. It's actually kinda cool.

Nightmare's sword looks shorter and fatter, but at least he has a mid section now. I hope he still has some range, I don't want to see range being homogenized any more than it has, with Maxi and Natsu seeing increased range, and Pyrrha and Ivy with a slight decrease. Still no sign of the promised SE/SC shortswords. Maybe that's just how they'll be displayed and everyone just equips them in different forms as usual.

Leixia is just another character that was made more "moe" (like Sophie -> Pyrrha), my friends will be pleased

 

I think something happened to Amy, because in Rapheal's picture he's holding a piece of Amy's ribbon in his hand.

Kilik's necklace is on Leixia that kept him from going crazy from Soul Edge.

Good to see Leixia and Nightmare and HELL YES!! RAPHAEL IS BACK!!!! :D

Not my favorite Raph design, but the 2P design will probably be better. Regardless, I am even more amped for Soul Calibur V knowing Raph is coming back.

Leixia and Nightmare look good. Looking forward to trying them too.

And the new stages look FANTASTIC. I'm loving this game more with every announcement.
Can't wait to try it. :D
