Grøh just becomes cooler the more I look at him. As Maximilian Dood put it, he's "80s edgy anime, which is the epitome of badass anime".

You bored? Me too here is some of my Zasalamel in action including some vs top level players: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTc8eITQXPna5FNaZkywbAQ
Maybe someone else mentioned this but:
Is Tira a lot bigger than I expected ? She seems even larger than Taki (the 2nd largest female).
I don't recall her being this massive from the prior games (also her in-game bio height puts her a good 4 inches under taki).Well Tira is European (supposedly) she could just be like Lili and is naturally tall.
I'm surprised there aren't more people talking about the suspicious new gameplay that surfaced this morning from Bamco Latin America. The absence of Azwel was brought up briefly, but there is plenty more going on in the video. The build they show differs significantly from the beta and everything else we've seen so far.
In the video we see a new CSS:

Obviously the first thing to note here is the absence of Azwel, whose place is occupied by one of the mysterious white circles. This lends credence to the idea that the circles represent unlockables and not DLC (though I could see them serving both purposes). Sadly the player cameras cover the bottom of the screen, so we cannot see whether those two small circles are still at the corners.
Interestingly, the character slots are now grayed out while the cursor is not on them—a design choice abandoned in the E3 build. For reference, here's the CSS from most recent press build:
View attachment 51728The stage selection screen is also quite different from what we've been seeing:

Why are do so many stages lack their screenshots? This seems like a rather odd thing to remove. The characters are also not shown in the background here.
Stages without a proper screenshot have a curious placeholder: the coliseum from SCV. The stage they chose here was Kunpaetku Shrine, but they all have this same image.

Upon closer inspection, it also looks like the positions of the stages have been rearranged. Here's the arrangement from the older builds:
View attachment 51729It's hard to tell because of the low-quality recording, but they've done something with the lighting and the textures. It's very subtle so you'll probably miss it if you're not paying attention, but something about Taki's face looked odd to me so I started to do some comparisons. You can see the new build to the left, and the older version to the right:

Taki's face looks different, with deeper shadows around her eyes. There also appears to be a general reduction of shadow contrast. Hair rendering also seems improved, but again that could just be the low-resolution recording.
Also Taki's protruding nipples have been nerfed pretty hard.Overall, it looks like the UI in this official namco stream is substantially different from what we've seen in the press builds and in the online beta. The lifebars at 100% health are now violet!

At first I thought it was an optical illusion resulting from the poor white-balance of the recording, but nope! All the other colors remain identical, it's just the 100% health color that is now different. I played around with the brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation of these screenshots to match the deep blue we've been seeing since the E3 build, but I couldn't do it without massively distorting the image.
So what does all of this mean? I think we might be seeing the final build of the game on the disc, before the day-1 patch. I can't see them dramatically changing the UI and upgrading the graphics two weeks before release for a simple press build. It makes more sense that this official namco subsidiary had a copy of the final game and decided to stream some matches for promotional purposes. Since we know there will be a day-1 patch, adding missing stage screenshots could be among the things it fixes.
@Sectus proposed it might be an older build, but that's inconsistent with the upgraded graphics and the presence of two characters announced after Azwel. It just seems implausible to me that a pre-release press build was developed, never seen, and replaced with a different build which removed all the graphical improvements of the previous one. It makes more sense that the Azwel build was sent out to press outlets before the implementation of these final touches, and the game was later finalized and printed onto the discs. As @Frayhua pointed out in the roster thread, a closed press build with at least Astaroth's stage has been around since NVIDIA's video in June. That could very well have been the build we've seen this past month. The strange situation with the stages is the only thing that puts this timeline in question, but that doesn't particularly favor one explanation over the other.
Regardless, the main takeway here is that at least some of the small white circles are empty slots for unlockable characters. Get hype?

Maybe it's Quick Battle.Do you wanna know what bugs the hell out of me? It's the fact we still do not have the fourth game mode revealed on the website. They've updated the website with characters, videos, images, and the special area since online, arcade, museum mode, etc were all revealed but the haven't done anything with any of those or anything else yet.
Either they just want to have some excitement left for fans/players to discover on there own and keeping secrets or it's just nothing and people just setting themselves up for disappointment again. 2 weeks needs to hurry before people go insane.Do you wanna know what bugs the hell out of me? Can't wait to know the story behind the Aval Organization and my little chevalier mal fet :DWell this explains why his swords are so long in the character artwork versus the actual model. Seems like the original plan was to make him a dual-wielder originally that could combine his swords into the doubleblade form via a stance. Instead they went and reversed the style.
Also, this makes it pretty clear that the blue-blade is the calibur form and the whiter blade is the soul edge half.
Can't wait to know the story behind the Aval Organization and my little chevalier mal fet :D
Indeed, but I'm sure we'll get to know why the members are slightly malfested (or what seems like it) and how they can control it, blah blah ^^ I'm a lore guy :DI don't think it's going to be anything super riveting. It's even looking like his primary focus isn't going after Nightmare, but Azwel.
Still, I'll be pleasantly surprised if there's a twist or two here. I'm keeping my expectations in check.
Grøh got beaten by nightmare right? I'm pretty sure that soul edge can infect people, like with Amy. Maybe that's how he god a little malfested. AND HIS EYE PATCH IS TO LIMIT HIS ULTIMATE POWAAAAAASIndeed, but I'm sure we'll get to know why the members are slightly malfested (or what seems like it) and how they can control it, blah blah ^^ I'm a lore guy :D
I can't believe we are two weeks away for this game to finally be released. I feel happy because I will finally be able to play the game at last and I was keeping busy watching a lot of gameplay videos on YouTube. I am also going to feel a bit sad that all the speculation we all had for almost a year will come to an end and the hype train will have a stop soon. Most of this was fun and my only hope left will be for this game to sell well which I hope does so we can keep on getting more Soul Calibur games in the future. Two weeks left!
I'm a tad jealous of you all since i won't be able to play it at launch so,...i'm just gonna lurk here in a semi-dead thread (kidding). But, to be sincere, i hope you folks have a great time with it!!The saddest part about the game being released in 2 weeks is that I won't be coming here anymore for quite some time since I'll be way too busy playing xD I'll miss you all (for the time I am away)
About the LA build, it seems weird they'd give an old build to try, but it would be weirder if it's a newer build with content that was removed. Also, if it's the gold build and they ship the game like that... people would get pissed to buy an incomplete game. Imagine getting the game a bit earlier and having to play a game with missing assets :/
Now; about Inferno's release... don't you think it's because it was leaked? They could have saved him for next week, or even the day before release. I'm not saying I believe we still have hidden unlockable characters, but if it were to be true, this is my take on why Inferno was revealed.
Well Taki textures looked way better. The hair was improved and there was better depth to the face, so I don't know why they would go backward. I will assume that was a newer build.
I agree with that, but the whole thing itself is weird. Why would they replace the stage images with placeholder text for the final build? They've had their screenshots for the builds we've seen beforehand. It's possible they were just sent the wrong build, isn't that what happened with Melbourne? As for the lasted build, that doesn't make sense to give them an old build unless they screwing with those people.
