My point is conceptually what nightmare as a character is, is someone possessed by soul edge, as such it makes more sense to build that skeleton. It would open up the plot to a better story than Siggy getting repossessed over and over again in future installments.

By that logic I agree. It made no sense that Nightmare in SCIII/IV still used the greatsword, and I don't like that he wasn't influenced by Raph at all in SCV. Not to mention Pyrrha O should've been called NM as well.

Under that same logic Amy, which happens to be that dudes profile picture, should be changed because lets face it the only difference between Raph and Amy are gender and a few moves. luckily for us she was changed in SC 5 assuming Amy was Viola, but UGHHH thinking about Viola and how her play style was in SC 5 triggers my PTSD in online matches. unless they change how Viola was in SC5, i dont want to see her ever again!

I wouldn't mind if they gave Cass a spear and shield style to differentiate her from Sophie, though I'd still prefer sword and shield.

Wouldn't be the first character to get a weapon change.

Wouldn't mind if Amy did as well so long as it was comparable and the style felt the same. Was the main problem with Viola. The ball is too far removed and different from the rapier Amy had.

I don't think Cass would need to change much from how she felt before move wise with a spear.

Spear fits more with the Greek theme. Also with the new Assassin's Creed being out and the emphasis on the spear and such, it'd be a good idea to the game as a style. Plus everyone loves the whole Greek Spartan spear and shield type thing.

No. I prefer the more creative options. Also, spear would be too heavy for cassandra's perky moveset and style.

If you still legit think a spear is that much better of an option for Cass, then you might as well have Amy come back with a spear since it was also common for French warriors of ancient history to also have spears.

It's because Rock was unpopular and had a story that literally had nowhere to go besides Bangoo.

The REAL issue I have is not Rock being gone, it's nothing ever being done with Bangoo. If anything, Rock should have been killed by Asty in SC1 and then Bangoo could have taken over his role, which would have allowed far more freedom in the creative writing department. Astaroth being around means in both story and gameplay Rock is redundant, considering Astaroth is literally just 'Rock, But Better In Every Way' in both Canon and Gameplay in pretty much EVERY game.

The thing is, Asta is not even that popular, and the design is not as inspiring as it could be. So while Asta is more popular than Rock, to say he is better in every way in canon and gameplay is just trying to make opinion fact, which apparently is vibrant in fake news and Trump era.

While I don't want content as a whole spoiled I do want to know where Inferno appears on the character select screen so for those that have it early it would be great to see an image before release.

I just thought of a kind of simple but cool idea. The game has multiple language selections, right? Or at the very least Japanese and English. Wouldn't it be cool if we could choose the language as well as voice for each of our characters? For example, most of my characters were ethnically different from each other and it would have been awesome to use whatever language is already in the game aside from English.

Again what makes a character different is multifaceted and is more than just moves.

Cass: Blond
Sophie: Blond
Cass: Girl
Sophie: Girl
Cass: Greek
Sophie: Greek
Cass + Sophie: Same family
Cass: Small Sword
Sophie: Small Sword
Cass: Small Shield
Sophie: Small Shield

Mitzu and Yoshi: Same weapons and arguably same gender, similarity ends there.

Cass and Sophie need a few less samey boxes checked off in my opinion to differentiate them.

I think all they need to do is give her an extremely distinct look. I wanna see her complete design used for that story mode portrait as that looks like a big departure from what Cassandra and Sophitia have had in the past.

And I'll just casually mention that there two characters in the game already with the same hair, same gender, same nationality, related by blood, using the same weapon, and they're even... the same person! But one of them is slightly more covered up in armour than the other one. And you're seeing no one complaining about those two being very similar, despite being the exact same person.

I don't think changing her weapons at all makes much sense. So many of her animations wouldn't work with anything but a short sword and a small shield. If they're gonna change almost her entire moveset, they might as well make a new character.

I think this is all about perception. Give her a unique, distinct outfit. Give her some moves which look extremely different from Sophitia (maybe more moves where she throws her sword or shield). I think those two things alone would shut up most people claiming she's "just a clone."
