Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

PS4 is SATA2 speed while PC can fully exploit SATA3 speed. Can't remember if Tekken 6 installed on the hard drive so you would have been throttled by the disc read rate and even if it was on the hard drive I wouldn't be surprised PS3 is SATA1 speed.
The Xbox loading times are also terrible tho.

I had a crazy, wishful thinking thought earlier. Perhaps the reason they're not revealing the updated character select screen (to show the true number of slots) yet is because the number of slots would be so big that it pretty much guarentees most/all of the cast from each game (not including Bonus characters) returning, thus making character reveals less exciting. When you think about it, the reason character reveals are so exciting right now is because we feel like there's a limited roster, so the slots are precious and no character feels safe, making it all the more hype when a character gets announced, but if they show that there's a large amount of slots, then we aren't going to be freaking out about who might be in and thus the reveals don't have the same impact.

Kinda goes with a theory someone else came up with about the number of reveals being intentionally low to drive us all crazy so that the reveals are more important to us when they come. Market strategies and all (frustrating as they are).

I doubt this is the case but it's a nice thought, lol.

Is Tekken 7's online worse than Soul Calibur V?
Never played Tekken 7.
If SCVI's online is like SCV i'd be totally cool with that.
Dont quite like this idea because if the amount if frame delay they had implement OFFLINE to make it work.

Not a fan if frame delay in my fighters...a small amount is ok but if it gets over 4 frames I start to worry.

I feel your signature is very relevant right now: "Hope only brings disappointment..."

I like that theory though. I'm all for a giant roster.

Im also hella excited for Hwang instead of Yunseong.
Hwang was always a cooler character than that buster lol

:sc2vol3:Why is everyone saying sc5 has/had great online netcode? If you have to guess instead of react to a low attack then the netcode sucks. The online experience was/is terrible. More terrible then the gameplay itself:sc2vol2:

SC5 had a great netcode. I mean of course it can't save you if you're using mcdonalds wifi (nothing can) but if you have decent internet and are wired it was flawless.

I don't know where did you play it, but in Xbox360 online worked way better than PS3 for SCV, like most games of this generation anyway.

can be a bit of "urban legend" but Multiplayer online games I play in 720p with internet and joystick with cable, say the reaction is better....

:sc1vol1:My connection is fine and wired. If one enjoys the online experience in an online match of sc5 then i guess we will all end up in hell:sc2vol2:

SC5’s connections were good, but not “Tekken 7” good.

With advancements in networking there’s no surprise that the net code got better, so let’s look to a bright, WIRED, fighting game future.
