At least in my opinion, it doesn’t make sense to still have characters to be hiding behind a reveal trailer when there’s only a month left until release (unless they’re Secret Spoiler Characters like APat, PyrO, Edge Master, Mimic Kilik, and Elysium that don’t need one). If anything, any character trailers released within the month before release should be at least one of the DLC characters, or the oft-mentioned bonus character included in the Season Pass.
I could be wrong though since I don’t remember when they finished revealing characters for SCV.

When you think about Astaroth, you picture wielding a giant axe like a super powerful unnatural creature. Maybe manmade, like a golem. The power that comes from the giant axe is very inhuman and it has a natural aversion to nunchaku.
Cervantes, on the other hand, you know, he's a pirate. And not just any kind of pirate, no, he's an undead pirate. This lets him have unnatural powers such as teleportation and inhuman speed. Pirates also used guns with their swords, so we thought he should have a gun built into his sword. Because he's a pirate.

Everyone was cool in SC2 anyway, i always asked myself why, well i guess it's because it's the game that has the best mechanics and feeling in the franchise imo.

I've also been replaying SC2 and it's a great game, a fighting game classic.
Weapon Master is an awesome mode and I'd love some version of it in SC6.

Now that you mention it, I could see Lizardman being revealed alongside Astaroth since they're connected via Schwarzstrom. Plus they're gonna have to start revealing more than 1 character per month. There's 4 months left and 9* remaining roster slots.
*Technically 10, but it seems like one of those slots will be for CaS.

I'm thinking one of those will be custom, and the other one will be bonus or DLC characters.
