Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Tira+2B+file-leaked Cass and Amy...only girls, and no boys, very strange. May be in season 2 DLC will be only boys
On Youtuby and Twitch most common complaint - too few arenas, I hope in the new season arenas will be more
Vergeben said that Groh was a prototype of a Darth Maul. But on Youtuby, most viewers compare he with a Mortred from DOTA with very similat weapon. It looks like Mortred is currently more famous than the Darth Maul

I'm not going to bother anymore, you will never learn. Like I said earlier, play a different character that you can actually understand. Maybe a simple character like Geralt would be more suitable for you. The reason why I replied in the first place is because you act like Raphael has a lot of flaws when that simply isn't true. I might have been wrong in saying 6B, iPrep and WR BB, iPrep are +12 on block, but that doesn't change anything else I said because they still have a lot of + frames. Attacking or sidestepping is not possible in a lot of cases. Anyway, I already explained what his strengths are so my job is done. Anyone who read our posts can decide for themselves whether Raphael is strong or not.

Yeah, like when she killed that guy during Raph's story... totally useless. We all know characters that grow up in a harsh environment, in the midst of a fantasy world, are unable to fend for themselves. Especially characters that are trained under the tutelage of an experienced fencer.
I'm talking about the gameplay but whatever.

Whenever I find better ways of doing certain inputs it's like I have to relearn my play before I can do the move instinctively during fights. It takes time! Me no likey!

I agree with all of this. The devs obviously looked for inspiration in the most generally respected game of the franchise to date, SCII. And that game had exactly what you describe here: everyone was a powerhouse. But the different context is noteworthy--SCII had ultra step-guard, so everyobody had to be able to open a can of whoopas when they found their opening. Here, it just feels like the core roster is comprised of mostly glass cannons and...you know, just some regular damn cannons. So most matches are really fun--as fun as they've been in a long, long while--but the ones that aren't so fun can make your eyes roll so hard you strain them.
Yeah, glass cannons is a way of putting it. I find that matches become chaotic and unpredictable quite often, even when there's a clear experience gap between players, and even when trying to play it safe. The lifebar seems to drain by itself sometimes (Kilik sighs and nods). This is all fine and dandy for making fights more even, but it comes at the cost of feeling robbed of a favorable experience-reward ratio.

They would never make such changes, though. It'd be like admitting their core idea for this game was faulty. However, it doesn't bother me too much. Matches are mostly exciting, after all.

Recent Datamine Rumor
http://www.avoidingthepuddle.com/ne...ile-contains-character-references-to-cas.html

Okubo liking a tweet with Cassandra fan art. Remember when he did it with Astaroth months before his reveal at EVO 2018.

Okubo mentioning a "Dance partner" with Raph officially being announced.

New Designs
Ohhh, okay. I knew about the new designs and the datamine, but I didn't know that Astaroth was hinted at prior to his reveal. Hopefully that Cassandra tweet means she'll be revealed soon. Also, "dancing partner for Raphael" makes a lot more sense now lol

It's going to be so great to have the best sword and shield style back. I wish I could believe they would just go ahead and bite the bullet and officially announce Amy at the same time.
Unless they will go the ballsy way and actually make her a shield hammer combo. It's unlikely of course but the more I think of it, the more I would endorse that change. Especially since nornal-sized warhammers are pretty underrepresented in video games

Sorry to bother you with frames and stuff... just saying "hey the only point i had is ridiculosuly wrong but i still stand my opinion" is not convincing.....keep pressing until you meet someone that labbed raph.... at that point it will be easier to understand.

For Others just look at raph framelist and everything will be easier.
Unfortunately raph is indeed complex to fight if you don t have an idea on how he works.

Basic knowledge
iprep on block is +0
B is fastest option being a vertical high for 10 (anystep will evade it).
A is i14 and the only tracking AND mid option

Step is 12 frames and starts at 4.

GI starts at 4 or 6 forgot and lasts for at least 10 frames.
RE starts at frame 8
Fastest guard breaker comes at 36 frames (shadow evade B) and tracks just a little if held (so even more than 32)

you have all the tools

Sad thing, you can even try to step raphael on HIT from neutral moves (maybe not on hit from stances).
Finally raphael has ONLY 1 mid horizontal from neutral, its 20 frames, -12 on block and hits for 20 damage....(nobody uses it anyway).

Hope this will help against the so called "S tier" that is doing so well at tournaments... oh wait its not doing well at all....

P.S. also almost nobody uses iprep on block....since as said it doesn t work and its risky.
Only thing to fear is the about 40-50 damage WRBBiprepCE that is a CE for 10 from crouch (15 from standing)

Oh, I see you there, trying to grief me! :P We'll just save the hammer and shield for a troll and call him Heniek. :D

Oh, haha, you meant Cass, not Amy, didn't you? Yeah, I mean that's never gonna happen, but a lightweight warhammer and shield combo isn't a half bad idea for a character. Is that combo used by any of the characters in For Honor; I've thought for a bit now that if that game is releasing a sequel or DLC any time soon, a guest from that series would be a great fit in the current roster.

Heniek is Henry so he would either have a sabre and fancy, easteuropean moustache or we would give him a longsword and call him Henry of Skalitz lol.
Not a big fan of DLC chars like From Honor because they have basically no character into them afaik (although designs are neat)

I'd rather Cass have a new single shortsword/saber style than hammer and shield. never been a big fan of hammers, maces, or axes as weapons.

though I suppose smashing people with a hammer/mace would fit Cass's personality......lol.

As I said it's highly unlikely but I also thought it would suit her character pretty well. But we shall see what will happen pretty soon (I hope)

All Astaroth (and perhaps future Aeon) players have now become triggered at such a statement.
