Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

I'm actually excited for the next armor pack assuming they continue adding music in them (and the old main outfits of characters).
A silly side thing which I know they wont add but I would adore is the option to make music play by theme of character like in DOA. (You pick a characters "theme" and when in combat instead of picking stage track it will play the opponents theme). I think I'd alternate modes but I really liked this tiny piece of flexibility in DOA.

I doubt they'd do it, as I'm sure they'd also be bashed for it but I'd actually really like them to implement the SCIV/V stages again. I feel like many of those stages could be updated visually and having up to date effects the could look quite pretty. It would at the least possibly gives quite a few stages.
I want a vibrant daytime version of Distant Marsh personally.

In regards to the last character though I think its going to still be Cassandra. Though I'm just giddy of the possibility of Hwang and Rock returning later. I think those are the only other characters I want to play with. (Apart from Amy). Hoping Cassandra's exiting in combat this entry, booty attacks will probably be high priority however but I'll take it.

That's kind of funny, I was literally thinking about that this morning. I love the idea, and I can't imagine it'd be too hard to implement. It'd be especially awesome if we keep getting the old music. I can't wait for Midnight Mystique and Sleepless: an untamed beast, as well as Indomitable Warrior.

lowkey wish there was a way to block people straight after a fight on ranked, some days i just rlly cannot be bothered with ppl who spam the same moves over and over again & it gets so annoying when they keep popping up every so often

Has anyone noticed how much bigger stages in SC6 feel compared to past stages (and yet still fights often get pushed to edges)?

Kind of, in SCV, I was in the middle A lot more, and very rarely found myself in situations where I was about to get ringed out

That’s pretty simple zoning characters aren’t playing around this time and the superior movement of 8 Way Run has been restored.

5 felt so slow, no amount of speed lines could change that HAHA!

Take your time I fought a Kilik in lag that spammed A+B even on wake up.
Them doing it enough times should leave them really easy to read.
And never assume people play fair on ranked I mean Azwel (a sub boss) is tearing up the scene at the moment... and I wonder why *eye roll*
 
I know how to deal with spam, I’m saying sometimes i just can’t be bothered with it because fighting someone who spams isnt fun, even if you beat them

The key to beating spam is finding the weakness inside it. Such as with Taki as Voldo for whenever she does that rising kick while on the floor.
 
I hope these feedback requests are actually working towards something. I want to believe they're doing this for something important, not just 'cause.

Anyways, my feedback is the same as always:
Hello. The game is in a good state, but I do think there are improvements that could be made.

- CAS compatibility issues. All too often, it seems parts just don't allow despite the fact that they should.
- More CAS options in general. A slider for hairstyles and facial hair would be great, for one.
- Better online experience. In particular, I'd like the return of Global Colosseo, manual typing in casual, customs banned in ranked due to their unfair advantage, and actual room searching.
- More stages, as right now we only have 12, one added post game, and that one never is in rotation.
- Quality of Life improvements in general. Better menus, less input lag in certain areas, better UI and overall easier navigation and presentation.
- More DLC, consistently released, and genuinely new. For example, I want new armor, new costumes, remade versions of past costumes and crossover pieces like for example, pieces from Namco's Code Vein.

They still posting this quite often, which is cool i think, personally i don't even ask for character or stage at this point i just ask for no creation character in rank or make 2 separate rank mode (Created character Rank, + Original SC character)

I want to tell them that 2B's damaged uniform should be compatible with Talim's and Amy's shorts. Better yet give us the option to disable armor break like seriously.

I know it’s annoying but when playing with other human beings it’s never going to be a bespoke experience.

Maybe we can ask Bamco to add special win quotes when a character uses the same move more than 6/7 times in a match. Lol

I could swear a perfect performance with Cassandra in SC3 would just lead to the sassiest of win quotes

“WOW, not bad at all... I’m so impressed”
“Thanks for taking it easy on me”
“I don’t like it, when people are forceful”
“Were you looking forward to winning, Oh I’m sorry”
“Why don’t you try using your head a little”

I’d honestly be all for getting rid of the OG CaS characters in Ranked, and a better netcode and matchmaking especially for the PS4 side of things.

Dance of the Oracle, honestly despite SCIV and V being downhill for me they had some very nice tracks. I want all music back, and their unique per game mixes. I hope they approach it this way.

Yeah I figured it was worth mentioning somewhere so that people may take interest and talk about, hopefully prompting the devs to do it. For the fans who didn't enjoy SCIV, V it may also be a nice way of giving them its content without them full on playing it, while to me not perfect games they had some very nice qualities.

Also vouching for valentine manor and money pit, SC3 Money pit may be my favorite variant personally!

I noticed recently since my brother has just been doing a completion run on SC4 that they didn't add the broken variant of Amy's SC4 costume which is a little disappointing in a sense if that's what it means for other characters old outfits going forward. Especially since we can't disable armour breaks.
I hope armour break disabled option becomes a thing in the future, I really do. Sick of playing Amy and her feet spontaneously showing themselves. Not like SC4 where her leggings got torn up and her boots too, I'd rather it just doesn't break.

Being totally fair, it was this way also in SoulCalibur IV. Only the main characters wearing their default outfits would behave as you describe, with battle damage. If you used Amy's outfit on a custom character or on another character it would behave just as it does in this game with regards to breaking.

Oh no I'm aware, they can't add a broken variant for every outfit but this attire already has one and it was a main outfit too. There's really no reason for it to be lacking a broken variant. It worked that way in SC4 for some odd reason but in SCVI it doesn't really matter since main outfits still break in CAS edits. (I believe they do at least?) Its not any harder than any of the other ports they've done.
Can't really speak for the Siegfried and Tira outfits since I'm unaware if the SCV outfits had proper breaks for those two, I don't really remember.

It just seems peculiar because its not like its general cas parts, its genuinely her old attire. If anyone got their old main outfits I'd want their broken variants in too if they had any.
