KiLLer Instinct [Xbox One Exclusive]

lol. I'm glad you still have your sense of humor.

I think we're in agreement here. I said it before but this free to play is an awful business model, especially for fighting games. But I hear what they're doing with this tekken revolustion is that it's a test for Tekken X Street Fighter. and if they're not releasing an arcade version of the game, this makes sense. They need to test out stuff for it somehow, and it brought back my T5 juggles for King. Yay~ Still. if I view it as a demo, makes sense. but then if I have to pay for characters, Background stages etc..

fuck that.
The day I let someone on the Internet piss me off is the day I 302 myself lol.

I fully agree about the F2P model being terrible for fighting games but the way KI is implementing it seems fine for now.

Using Tekken Revolution for beta testing Tekken X Street Fighter stuff never crossed my mind though. Smart move. Gets the thing out to a ton of people and generates some income. Damn that's a really smart move.

ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS SAY, “YOU CAN EITHER PURCHASE SELECT CHARACTERS OR THE FULL GAME.”

but it has to be confusing because the story needs it. Where would be the conflict if they straight out told you what was what? would it be memorable? no.. no one would care. This gives the game added attention so you can tell a delightful story about how you got things mixed up.

waited so long for a new KI. sadly i will not be getting a xbox 1.
game does look hype though.

Since XBO dropped the looney DRM/24hr check garbage and there is a bundle with all the characters in it. I wouldn't mind giving this a go.

I think how it's going to work is you are going to get the game virtually for free (or so I read) but you will need to buy the majority of the characters. It sounds pretty interesting, lol, the opposite of the SFxTekken DLC bonanza.

It hasn't changed anything for me. All it did was prove that MS doesn't give a shit about their customers, and will change their policies when it hurts their income.

You aren't alone in that sentiment, that's for sure.

I have too many friends that I game with frequent on the Xbox to completely drop the brand. In the end, I will probably shell out for both consoles. Cause I'm personally looking forward to the PS4 more, myself.

I personally don't dig the F2P model for FGs. Tekken Revolution made me laugh at what was available and how that was set up. DOA5U seems like a better attempt...but if you want access to everyone from the free version...if I did my math right...its around $100? The full game probably be $40...at the most $60...Although I think I read if you buy each character you also get all their costumes? If that includes DLC, then....I guess that could be...worth it? Depending how you see it. Then again...dunno full details about that. Then there's this....The former recently established brands and its been a WHILE since KI. I'm hype its coming and I am interested in it but I'm with Panda on having a bad feeling about it.

Probably more information(more impressions) will come from EVO.

I heard Double Helix is trying to get the game on other systems...?

Where did you hear that? Microsoft owns the rights to KI because it bought Rare back on 2001, and the behind-scenes video released by DH explicitly stated that it was Microsoft themselves that asked them to develop the game.

And besides, MS has always had an exclusive fighter (DoA), but now that it went multiplatform they needed something else to replace it. That's probably the reason this game even exists.

***

On a side note, this game is looking SO HYPE.

Glacius looks broken. A "Zoning" character - according to the devs - shouldn't have moves that fast from such a distance. And his unblockable... lol

Now I REALLY have a bad feeling about this game...

Well i tried it at Evo and it just was not fun. Lots of flash and in game yelling, while i hit 2 buttons over and over to do their "combos".
