Soul Calibur 6 CaS Discussion

One thing that I hope they improve on in the SCVI creation is to have an unlimited amount of stickers to put on. Really fucked with some characters I wanted to make.

I just want to make a good Asagi Igawa, is that too much to ask?
 
Since they're pretty much part of CAS at this point kind of hope the weapon options can be:

  1. 1P
  2. 2P
  3. Simple Design
  4. Eastern/Western Design depending on the weapon (I.E daggers for Taki and a nodachi (Sephiroth's Masamune) for Nightmare)
  5. Alternate weapon that functions the same as the primary weapon (Astaroth's hammer)
  6. More intricate (Ultimate) weapon
  7. Evil looking version
  8. Joke weapon (kind of want a nail bat for a Negan CaS)

Do hope that if textures return, wishing there's a Calibur and Edge pattern if they're not option.

All of this sounds like a pretty solid list. Especially 3 and 4. It'd be really cool to see what kind of designs they could come up with for those. Some of them we already have examples of, like the Kopis for Xianghua, and the Halberd for Xiba, but having them do that for every character would be interesting.
 
That's #5.

And my list didn't count the Tyrfing (closest thing to a longsword without frills) and the Damascus Sword (which looks cool on Middle Eastern warriors.) I mean it'd be boring if you could just choose from only different katanas.

Also forgot the ability to choose your taunts. Granted you can't expect something like that since I doubt anyone would use them much, but it's hard to take certain characters seriously if they're going to check on their enemy or starve in the middle of a battlefield. Even if it's just tied to voices. A Cynical Soul of Xiba was just wrong for example. And if Cassie comes back, at least Patty's taunt could suit her.

And yeah, taunt selection would be nice, especially if the fighting style's default taunt is unfitting for the character's voice, which was a problem with most styles and voices in SC5. Seeing a character with Leixia's fighting style clap while saying "Aw, what a letdown!" was a bit off. And, if they're going to limit the intro quotes to just 2 again, it'd be nice if we could choose which two our character uses.
 
1 Hair and beards very more longer
2 One option to choose the style of movement and celebration, male or female or serious and silly, that was very boring in SC V we do one creation with Pyrrha style and the move and celebration are pathetic. If I do one male creation with Leixia with those move will seem like a gay.
3 Eyes and ears differentiated (non human)
 
Not happening: alt Critical Edges.

Choosing win poses is easy enough. Again cynical Xiba looks wrong balancing her spear.

But undercuts and dreads (for both genders) would be welcomed.
 
If titles return, it’d be neat if the announcer announced those instead of “Soul of Jon Doe/Class”. I’ve only heard the names announced on the character select screen regardless. Or maybe the name won’t be announced for a CaS.
 
I have no doubt that we'll be seeing a lot of things from 4 and 5 come back in 6. They've been using the same character models with some minor improvements since IV, so I don't see why they wouldn't basically do the same with the CaS content.
I'm okay with that as long as we get around just as much, if not more, new equipment and hairstyles in 6. Including the SC4 2P equipment and hairstyles that were left out of SC5. I also hope that equipment from SC3 gets remade and added to SC6. There were a lot of really nice things in that game and it would be awesome to see them recreated with these new graphics.
 
There were some items in all three games with CaS like the Tyrolean Hat and a personal favorite in the Spy Robe. Sadly the only new hairstyles were from the default characters while removing essential SCIV hairstyles of those not in the game. Seriously, a ponytail for girls as DLC? What.

And the panties should return rather than the short shorts. Better yet underwear for the top and bottom layers should be separate as some combination bans made no freaking sense.

Worse than Tag 2, which was a side-grade (I'd say mostly a downgrade) from Tekken 6. Only good thing about it is graphics, and even then a lot of the models/textures are ported over from previous games, and show their age. Some characters got hilariously stripped of options, like Kuma, who had a fair few in 6 and Tag 2. In 7 he gets a single alternate outfit (with one or two locked recolors. Other cast members can freely recolor their outfits) and some glasses I think. Really pathetic after 3+ years of development.

SC's systems have largely been more in-depth than Tekken's though. Here's hoping they aspire to improve upon what SCV did, rather than Tekken 7.
 
Personally I do not care as much about cas or even alternative outfits in SC6. More interested in seeing a good complete game.

Yup. I understand that. Personally I had the most fun with CAS back in Soul Calibur 4. Even though it did not have stickers, the game had better lighting and more characters that I enjoyed playing as.

There were more options with CAS in 5, but I don't think a lot of those options actually looked a lot better than what they had in 4.
 
One of the reasons I played (and still play) SCV for is because of the CAS. I really like the CAS, even if i'm terrible at it, other than adding a few pocket stickers here there, I mostly worked with colours and patterns, because i am unoriginal. But the character creation was amazing. I've had characters i amde in 3, and most of them have carried over to V and personally, i hope they carry over to VI.

I'd still really love sliders and weapon editors. I can deal with certain taunts and win animations that look weird on certain genders or voices(Leixia, Seong, and Xiba i'm looking at you guys) but i need Sliders! I don't want to have to become a make-up artist just to make characters LOOK like their faces are different. Or at least give us a few options. I've said this like twice, i'm just trying to get this across.
Also can we have a couple different voices for each 'voice style' ala dynasty warriors. So like 2 femme fatales, 2 upbeat girls, 2 cold assasins, 2 main bad guys etc. And can the voices be not gender specific. What if i want a cold FEMALE assasin or a MALE fatale (don't know what to call this really.) I just want to be able to create at least 9 UNIQUE characters with UNIQUE voices.
and that armor break thing is the most important thing to me though.

That's enough opinion for now though.

I really hated this, as using Xiba's moveset most of his victory animations on a single camera don't even keep you in the shot. Seriously.

They need to get VA that can do multiple voice types seamlessly as opposed to just grabbing random people. Half the time I don't usually like the voice types to begin with for them either being generic or just having bad VA.

Soo does anyone want to be able to change the colour of soul charge and RE, as well as soul chaage effects and maybe even a transformation thing? Like for the transformation, you could change the colours of the body and eyes and hair or something, or like each hair has a Transformed version. That'd be cool and I'd spend WAY too much time doing stuff like that. I want a katana that's on neon green fire
