Alright I really want to let this off my chest, I hate the announcer talking at the start of every match. I played SCV a lot I never know what the hell he's talking about and I can never get myself to care. I also feel that he talks over the intro to the stage OST and I don't like that.

Does anyone think he adds to the game?

Edit: Maybe it's his voice?
I always liked the announcer in SC. In SC6 he sounds more like the older games and I like that. I never found him annoying, the character's voices are what actually makes me often turn off the voices completely.

Yea, i dislike him too. I prefer SCIV's narrator/announcer more.

Actually, the first 2 trailers for SCV had the old announcer too, so there's that. But with Maximilian Dood claiming the announcer told him they wrapped up voice work for SC6 back at E3 ( i think?), i don't think there's much we can do/hope for.

I may be in minority, but I liked vampire Castlevania-Raph and his whole Amy-obsession plot. It looks a lot better when you review it from the very beginning when he was human and haven't met Amy yet to the point when he became both physically and mentaly inhuman with the only thing making him happy while also making him even more insane is his love for his adopted daughter.
But SCV's vampire-ghost-while-body-is-being-possessed-by-Nightmare thing is a little too much, to the point of being stupid. Cool hat though, I love hats.
I completely agree with you, plus Castlevania is great :p (... was great)
I also prefer a lot more the Zombi Cervantes from SC3 and 4 over the normal pirate that just feels boring and classic.
I really hope they don't use the excuse of the reboot to just make Raphael and Cervantes boring looking humans (stupid humans xD)

Edit: How ironic that "some random human" liked a comment that's mean to generic humans :p

@Vergeben Thx for the Taki leak/confirm! Even if I don't doubt about Taki, Cervantes, Ivy, cause they got too much value, either on fan base or/and Story Mode.

Thanks you guyz for all of your questions, I didn't expect that much. I hope they will not throw out my paper on garbage when they saw they 2 page list haha. Maybe I will rework it a bit. I still have 2 week at least to prepare it. So let's try to priorize all of this.

Anyway, my focus will be to test obscure things like lethal hit in the hour that they will let me.

I know that there will probably be beta for sure but I don't know when yet. Planning is very for obscure for now, maybe they are deciding right now if they will rush out the product and release it in June/July or they are convinced that it need some rework and wait for Sep/Oct/Dec.

A good thing to tell them now if our feeling about the actual game, if it seems finished or not. Like graphics, mecanics, animations, effects, sounds.... for me it still needs some rework especially on graphics.

Edit :
- I'am also a fan of Team Battle, even if nobody cares xD I've already adressed that in SCV when they asked us a review of the demo 3month before the release, but they didn't put it ... I will still adress it again x)
- Also the Museum was an awesome part for me, I remember that feeling of unlocking all the thing in it on SC1.
- Mission and SideQuest was also a super part and now Character Creation is also so good that they can't ignore it.

You should also probably suggest just the option to turn off the armor breaking aspect of the game (even though I know it will be hard since it's part of the game now with the all damage increase) or at least just make it better than just fully getting naked.
Or if they want to go the whole naked part then make so that the clothes at least fall on the ground and stay there like it was the case in SC4 xD

I actually think vampire Raphael is quite genius really.

People often forget how vampires have been butchered, Raphael represents the classic type of vampire, more ruthless and alluring, but not pulling all the infinite powers from one. To be honest, SC IV gave me hope he would intertwine his story with Cassandra or Kilik as a creature of the night spreading the plague giving the people who can ward of evil another enemy.

If you somehow run out of things to talk with Namco and you get so desperate you're considering to talk about the weather, you could ask about any potential modding support now as the game is on PC and is running on an engine which is easy to enable modding support for.

It's a bit of a pipe dream, but official modding support would make it easy for fans to make any outfit they want for the characters, and it would make it possible for fans to create any mode they'd like to see: team battle mode, survival mode, weapon master mode, volleyball mode, you name it!

Forget that, that just make so they can't sell all that "content" as DLC xD

*official mods market intensifies*

I was dissapointed by his boring looks in SCV. SCV has the most boring version of Serv. Till the very end I hoped that I could at least unlock his SE flaming-sceleton costume from Legendary Souls mode to no avail.

To be honest, it looks like they wanted to make it as DLC (when you see the names of SCV DLC you just know they wanted to throw a lot more DLC in) but for some reason they just abandoned it

Been away over the holidays but:

*Le sigh* Okay kids didn't think I'd have to do this but enough with the nipples, dicks, asses, and titty talk. I know there's not much to talk about with no new information but things are getting a bit racy so I'm going to ask nicely that if you are bringing up the aesthetic aspect of the game you don't turn the point into some skeevy sexual thing. Also I know most of you don't know the difference but there are a lot of other things that you can take from the videos we've seen involving new moves, old moves returning, etc. I encourage those that can recognize the differences to speak up and maybe start discussing those things. Either way I'm sure we'll get some new content/news in the next coming month and we'll all have some different things to talk/get excited about.

This.

Posts not pertaining to SC6 will be deleted henceforth. I'm fairly lenient - I understand topics can end up spiralling on for a bit and I let them slide as long as they end up back on point, but this IS a SC6 Discussion thread at the end of the day. As GreatOne said, it can be easy to get bored with the lack of news we're getting, but any posted in this thread has often been buried under countless declarations of thirst.

It's all good, people can keep talking about Talim being used to sell SC6 then (she doesn't have titty ass or dick.... Well, I assume she doesn't have one Kappa)

Ah, it's a shame I never got the chance to play you again then. We'll probably run into each other when SCVI gets released.
I got into SC5 again a month ago - but since a week i can't play online anymore -.-
Switched my provider a week ago, but there is a problem ... now i pay for a 400 mB/s internet connection but only getting a maximum of 100 kB/s
xDD
It is impossible to play online like this.

But i am sure we will meet each other in SC6 ^^

Paul St. Peter is SCVI's announcer, same as he was on V. Though he does sound a little less soft spoken and whispering into the mic with his baritone voice as he did on V. That was awful. He sounded like he never drank his morning coffee before recording and just didn't give a shit about what he was doing. I think that's what I hated most about him being V's announcer. They tried to capture some kind of Mortal Kombat-like feel with him being the announcer to match V's dark and grittiness, but failed miserably because you could barely hear him over the music prior to a fight starting and whatnot. It was just bad. Really bad to the point where they could have removed it completely and it would've been better than having an unenthusiastic announcer who speaking so quiet and lowly that it defeats the entire purpose of having one.
I have noticed that on VI, when the fight starts, the "Battle (number here)!...FIGHT!" doesn't even sound like the same guy. But I guess they just gave him some damn coffee and managed to get him excited and record lines that sound properly excited and hype inducing for the round lines. Because that sounds like a totally different person how he was directed to record those this time, thankfully. As it invokes the epic, boisterous feeling of the past Soul Calibur series announcers.

You're welcome, @Hayate!
I know that it isn't THE most surprising thing and all for her to be back on VI given what the story is doing, but knowing that she is back is probably the most cathartic return for the fanbase (even to people that hate her lol) next to Kilik with his staff proper again on the game too.

I agree with all of what you said, questions, and concerns, and since a lot of people shared various sentiments and questions that I had, I guess I'll go for some outside the box questions that haven't been asked yet that you could ask:
1. Do they plan on adding bonus "Souls" (movesets) for Character Creation again? If so, would characters they don't have plans on adding to the launch roster or as DLC wind up getting in this way? For instance, because of the timeline, both versions of Patroklos and Pyrrha's movesets could be included this way.

2. Do they have any plans for bringing back any of the SCIII bonus movesets, like the the Dual Wave Sword (Curved Blades) and Grieve Edge (Bladed Shoes) in particular in any capacity? Because those two had the most potential and were the best out of those to keep around.
I'm still surprised they didn't create new characters to carry on the use of those weapons, if not just keeping them both as bonus character creation movesets like they were on III. But can we hope they might come back?

3. In character creation, being able to edit specific and detailed parts of a character's face more deeply is something everyone who uses the mode has been wanting for the longest time now. So, as straightforward as I can ask it, will we finally be able to?

4. This is more of an observation that becomes a question, but for years now, the weapons/movesets I see people online ask for consistently and probably the most at this point that has yet to be included in the Soul series is a Kusarigama, ball and chain, and ball and chain styled flail.
Speaking strictly on the Kusarigama, my question then is, do they or have they had plans on adding a character that uses one.... eventually?
Because there's a lot of potential with that and serves a totally new purpose and style for the series.
I know the series always has a ninja (Taki, but Natsu on V, and Yoshimitsu and the Manjitou are rumored to be ninjas as well) so them adding another ninja who uses a Kusarigama would be a great inclusion.
Maybe a male ninja, and from a rival clan to the Fu-Ma ninja clan that Taki belongs to, or even rivaling Yoshimitsu and the Manji clan.
Sure, they don't even absolutely have to make the character a ninja either if they don't want to, though it would make sense thematically given what the weapon has connections to.

After watching the trailer over and over again, I just wanted to point out that they remade and reused Sophitia's SC1 theme for the Shrine Of Eurydice stage.

I know it's probably to be expected considering the nature of the game, but I thought it was a pretty cool addition nonetheless! If they continue with that trend, I can't wait to hear some old favourites!
