Bah, screw the extra time waisted on 2p outfits. They were much better served by focusing on creating better story modes, etc. People will get past the 2P costumes because while nifty they aren't truly important. Meanwhile due to them having a story mode and things to do with CaS character's with their own story mode, making the game more than just a basic fighter I've managed to get 3 whole people interested in buying the game that never would have before.
This game has more single player and casual content than pretty much anything before. At least it appears to. If they focused on silly things like 2 player costumes over things like the second story mode, etc, and people found themselves with nothing to do but fight online, well that would be it for soul calibur. One of the main reasons 5 failed is because it was repetitive and boring, the story was incomplete and sucked so people had to force themselves through it, and there were no interest modes to the casual player other than CaS itself which failed as there was nothing interesting to do with the CaS character.
Everyone is complaining about little things when what we really got this week was a godsend that's more likely to save the series than if they had instead done the things everyone is complaining about. Imagine if instead of the new story mode for example we got Tira on the main roster and a bunch of 2 player costumes all made with CaS parts like most are? How would that benefit the game over the new story mode?
