I may be rolling this into an anti-Setsuka thread shortly to keep this thread uh...less cluttered. Can't say uncluttered, because it already is pretty cluttered.
Hype on the yoshi forum ^^ me like
Yes!!
9B+KK works from time to time, but it's see-able on reaction, and after a while he'll just wake up when he sees the animation so no good after a while. I abused 2Ks on the ground in the last vids :)
It's only see-able on reaction if you don't do it right away. If he commits to rolling, it's free. And, the risk versus reward is WELL in your favor. Your 9B+KK damage is far greater than his AA punish. Besides, if DocVizzo (or anyone else) rolls to avoid stuff like 2B and gets away with it, he's not going to change tactics because he's expecting 3B, 9B+KK, etc. (unless your meta game runs that deep. Your mileage may vary based on the situation, of course).
In my experience, once you make it clear that you're going to consistently hit an opponent on the ground, they're going to start getting up. And if he still lays there and waits for your attack, just tap bG. As long as you've convinced him you won't take his bullshit, he'll get up. And if he doesn't get up because of this post, then keep hitting him until he does. Btw, you'll find tapping bG to force him up and then using T4 can be highly effective.
Btw, 8WR clockwise is just as effective as step against Setsuka at that range.
LostProvidence: We should've played more at FSAK, man. Let me know if you ever come out to NorCal.
DocVizzo: I meant in general on the whole A+G thing. Obviously a player must adjust as needed. I'd still much rather eat A+G all day as opposed to 214B, JF Umbrella. >_< Anyways, how do you know this isn't just mine and Furzy's plan? I may be really just posting useless shit in a conspiracy to help him outsmart you with our mind games!! muahaha.
