DanteSC3
[14] Master
This isn't even remotely possible. Like it's not even worth entertaining the notion. People are delusional.I see many people asking for Pyrrha & Patroklos in Season 3. I'm scared they make it..

I’d be surprised if it actually did happen. This isn't even remotely possible. Like it's not even worth entertaining the notion. People are delusional.
-raises hand slowly and self-conciously, feeling a little old- Zoomers?Me when I see all the salty asshurt soulcalibur 5 zoomers whining about patroklos and pyrha not getting in SC6![]()
The real question is, will they be back eventually? That is to say, in the new timeliiii....uh, you know what, nevermind. This isn't even remotely possible. Like it's not even worth entertaining the notion. People are delusional.

I would love to have Natsu back, as neither a boomer nor a zoomer. I just like fun things being fun, and Natsu was a lot more fun than Taki.
But yes, I believe that we will see the kids again, perhaps even in SoulCalibur VIII, as DLC, but no later than SoulCalibur IX.![]()

That's just Twitter toxicity at work. If it wasn't this, it would be something else to be equally brazenly upset over. If we did get Leixia and Xiba, for some reason, instead of Setsuka and Hwang, then there'd be just as much outcry about not getting Algol and Dampierre, I'm sure. It's always something, and you can't please everyone, so they may as well just stick to their vision and let the chips fall where they may. It's already been decided, I'm sure, what a season three would look like, if we're getting one, and I really doubt there's anything any of the fans on any platform can do to change it.I don't have a problem with people wanting them back. I have a problem with people being so bitter and resentful that they shit on other characters because of it. Soulcalibur V was a polarizing game and I wish those people accepted and understood that many characters were gutted/killed to make room for their SCV characters. Being so bitter to say Hwang "stole" a spot from Viola or some shit like that (Hwang isn't even confirmed!!!!) or that characters like Hwang, Rock, Lizard or even Yun-Seong have no reason to return over the SC5 kids....
Master Raven was cool but did we really need her. m.Raven is just as underpicked/unpopular as Raven was.
Imagine the game that has Sophitia, Aeon, Cassandra, Abelia, Patroklos, Pyrrha, Elysium, and Pyrrha Omega in it. So many shields...
Oh: I kinda like that. Being firmly in the middle of 'gen X' myself, I have no reason to take personal offense at 'boomer', but there just is something obnoxious and dinkish/baiting/accusative about that word in the manner that it is usually used, so 'zoomer' feels like a decent rejoinder--especially because I'm familiar with 'the zoomies' as a term for when one's cat spontaneously and frantically begins tearing through the house with no apparent cause, motive, or objective. The opposite of Boomer aka Zoomer or gen z.
Hey, I like Pat too. Controversial as this may be but I don’t think he was a bad character. On the SCV children front. Natsu, Leixia, Pyrrha are passable. I like pat but no one else does. His style is nice tho. Xiba is a waste of Kilik's sperm cells. Maybe that's why Xianghua and Kilik didn't stay together in SCV. If Xiba was the result, I'd probably marry some random noble instead of Kilik too. Sorry Kilik. Buy Xiba was an abomination.

A proper tower shield would either look terrible animations-wise in a SC game, either be completely broken. There is a good reason we don't have one and won't have one in the future. Thanks for reminding me that, for all of the so very different characters with shields we had over the years, none, NONE, of them, had a friggin tower shield.
Is it so much to ask for a heavy bruiser with a Havel The Rock feel?
I think you've padded that list a little with Elysium, being as she is a mimic: might as well add Edge Master and Charade. Then again, you could add Link, as he is very much a sword and shield fighter, whose moveset indeed shares more than a little DNA with the previous S&S styles to that point.Imagine the game that has Sophitia, Aeon, Cassandra, Abelia, Patroklos, Pyrrha, Elysium, and Pyrrha Omega in it. I think the feasibility lays somewhere in the middle here, perhaps leaning slightly towards Klimat's perspective. A tower shield is a formation armament, and not so common or useful for one-on-one fighting, wherein its weight and hindrance on mobility would be a big problem. That said, the early tower shields, like the Roman scutum, did vary considerably in size and shape, so there's some room for flex in the arguments here: so long as you're not talking something meant to give more than 50% of the total height of the bearer in vertical coverage, you're probably in the realm of something the devs could make look reasonably fluid (if still slow and stiff when compared against most other characters). There's also a lot of options in between the quite small shields utilized by pretty much all of the shield bearers in the franchise to date and a tower shield: kite shields, aspides, heater shields, larger targes and other round shields, etc. A knight with a flail and and heater shield has been discussed here before and strikes me as a design concept with a lot of potential.A proper tower shield would either look terrible animations-wise in a SC game, either be completely broken. The closest thing you'll get is some magical disappearing/folding shield a-la Azwel.
Well, I doubt anyone had that in mind as a mechanic, since that would obviously completely break the game. Of course, as I note above, having weapons just slip through a too-large shield is no solution either. A mid-size shield pairing a mid-range-bordering-on-slow speed for the character and a fair number of auto-GI moves with generous windows might work, however. It would present challenges for the game's overall balancing though.Tower shield is too much. Why crouch guard when you can just hold the tower shield and block high mid and lows all at once?
