SC4 was the most boring one imo. Stupid system (critical finish) and cuts everywhere (no advance/retreat guard, soul charge, WL moves), boring music and stages. Even SC3 was more fun imo despite the bugs and terrible balance. SC5 may not have the character complexity of previous games but at least the system makes the game super fun. I love it.
scIV was visually bad...lot of aestethic things were worse than soul V
But soul V is generic and unbalanced......
In scIV characters had their distictive moves, damage, range, spacing etc etc....
In scV most characters have similar moves, all have long range tools, huge damage combos etc etc etc.
Also lot of characters cannot be punished consistently for wrong mixups and whiffs....and the huge damage push the game around stupid 50% unreactable mixups that shouldn t exist....even when you use a fast high poke you risk to lose half bar having the opponent gambling a crouch...
I mean risk reward is awfully bad in this game....
This leads to matchups really horrible.......probably more relevant that tiers themselves.
SoulV has HUGE potential and is full of great things but is horrible to play because it rewards so much things that basic scIV gameplay teached you to avoid being stupid :|
