If you think Cassandra plays like Sophitia, you never played her.Guilty Gear is a weapon based game, but it has a grappler. The same for MK or Skullgirls. Every good beat'em'up has his own throws based character.
About Cassandra: I'm noticing that a lot of people here speak about a Cassie with different weapons. That's an interesting indication. You may not like Rock's gameplay, but devs gave him a clear and precise mandate: He's a grappler, and that's all.
Cassie actually is nothing more than a Sophitia 2.0. She never had her own iconic gameplay. We can say that Cassandra is an anonymous char. So much anonymous that all you speak about giving her new weapons (in other words: a new gameplay).
I've never said that Cassandra plays like Sophitia. And I'm tired to repeat it again and again...If you think Cassandra plays like Sophitia, you never played her.

We don't really have solid evidence, just reasoning based on what we know of past events and character relationships to one another. If you'll have a look at my post on the matter, there also appears to be character groupings at work, and if Lizardman isn't in, who else is suitable to fit his spot? I can't come up with anyone, and that's why I hesitate to put anyone else there, personally. It's possible, and I hope so, that we'll actually see some things from Lizardman's perspective, beyond just rawr I'm a lizzard smash, like, his inner thoughts not wanting to murder innocents, or his commands being issued from Nightmare/Inferno, or something to make it interesting. That being said, Talim is likely to get the most non-story ever, in that she'll find the Soul Edge shard, deign to go on her quest, talk to her people, leave, fight somebody as her first adversary, and then her story will be told... in SoulCalibur VII.Extra Characters snip

Inferno and Grøh's dad seem to be the mid boss and the final boss, yes. By those grounds, I don't expect them to have stories. Inferno would probably be the mimic, because if he's just Nightmare with his extra moves, that's less interesting an encounter than if he changes styles several times throughout the fight to keep you on your toes. Then again, this didn't stop Elysium in SoulCalibur V from just being Pyrrha Omega all the time, but the less said about SoulCalibur V, the better. In both SoulCalibur and SoulCalibur II, Inferno was known to use all styles, so his being the mimic is practically a given. Grøh's dad, then, I also believe in the possibility that his style will be so over the top ridiculous (like Night Terror) that he may not be unlockable at all. I don't have any real evidence of that, either, it's just a hunch, erring on the side of being able to include more characters.
It would be badass !Sooooo is Cassandra next for a trailer at Evo? Maybe Cass, Mina, and Tira or somethin?

I beg to differ, you were pretty clear:I've never said that Cassandra plays like Sophitia. And I'm tired to repeat it again and again...
Is this amnesia or are you just tired of saying random stuff that is outright wrong and forgetting the stuff you say?Cassie actually is nothing more than a Sophitia 2.0. She never had her own iconic gameplay.
Do you know what an iconic gameplay is? Tell me honestly: What makes Cassie so different from Sophitia? She has different moves, that's true, but if you know beat'em'up (and you know them, right?), you'll surely know that a char can be very similar to another one even if he has different moves. Cassie is too much similar to her sister. Same design, same weapons, same kind of approach. You may like her, but as I said many times, in this game we need chars with their own iconic (read well, iconic!) gameplay, and Cassie is not one of them. Now I'm waiting for another one who say that I wrote that Cassie and Sophitia are the same person...I beg to differ, you were pretty clear:

Snip
Cassie is a punisher too. Try to count her fast frames moves. Her gameplay is a bit more aggressive, but she's not so different than SophitiaGameplay
-Sophitia is a punisher
-Cassandra is a rushdown
Design
-Sophitia is designed as a Greek Goddess
-Cassandra is designed as a Tomboy light warrior
I get you don't like her dude, but just say that you don't like her, don't make stuff up.
If he ended it with CE instead, i would've jizzed.\![]()

Rainbow Mika, El Fuerte, Jaycee, and King beg to differGrappler characters are never flashy.
I beg to differ. I'm not casual, but I'm no pro either, and I can easily spot the differences between Cassandra is Sophitia. Its easy to see what makes them different, their personalities are complete opposite, and so are their motivations. You need to force your eyes closed to not see the difference, there is no excuse for this random shitposting of his, his arguments have absolutely no truth in them.Btw, I'm pretty sure @Zenit is saying that, to a casual eye, Cassandra has nothing to her that Sophie doesn't. Sophitia is the pure holy warrior of light, while Cassandra is just Sophitia's sister. Plot and personality-wise, she's excessively binded to her sister to the point that having her without Sophie would be near impossible, like SF's Karin or Nash.
