Don't forget Seong Han-Myeong, I know Bamco forgets he exists but that doesn't mean we have to.

The roster is set and I'm 99.9% sure not every character is going to be in the game. Sending Okubo this picture on twitter isn't going to change that.Rock should be in the game period like all the classic characters. I prefer Rock over Astaroth, always have because his design is more appealing to me and I would like to play a grappler who I find more appealing. I cannot believe that people here are still beating the drum what characters should be kicked and even worse the suggestion that they should be booted entirely from the series.
From Soul Blade to Soul Calibur 4 there are a total of 29 unique playable characters, 5 playable mimics and 7 playable guest characters. Those 29 playable characters should have a guaranteed slot at this point in the series with Algol being the only one up for debate due to the plot of SC4. With the current new characters for SC6 plus the mimic Inferno and the possible unannounced character that would bring a total of 33. To those that have the energy to constantly spout about which characters should be removed, can you focus that energy on social media please, pushing for a character pool of 33 so nearly everyone can be happy and make this the best Soul Calibur game ever released.
Here I've also done a full list to share on social media to generate buzz. Please do this instead of wasting energy beating someone elses opinion down because they want a character returning that you don't, it's getting tiring.

I'm fully aware that the character pool is already set and we will not being getting all the characters I've listed, all that this is about is that it's to encourage people to spread around the social sphere so if there is a season 2 then the idea has long been out there giving Project Soul plenty of time to prepare them. The roster is set and I'm 99.9% sure not every character is going to be in the game. Well, his gameplay is enjoyable. Way more fun than Astaroth in my opinion. If you've played SCIV you'd see that he's as Different from Astaroth as Cassandra is from Sophitia. For instance, he has moves like 6B+K, 2B+K, and 3AAA (this one is from older games, it was absent in SCIV) that i absolutely adore that Astaroth lacks. Not to mention his ground throws. Aside from gameplay, i love his design. The animal motif fits him pretty well and it's interesting to see what kind of design they'll give him in every iteration. Again, i prefer it over Astaroth's mostly over-designed appearances such as his new one & SCIV P1. I also find Rock's personality to be way more interesting than Astaroth. Astaroth's persona is boring as heck since he's a golem created for the purpose of killing, i don't see room for character development there. As opposed to Rock, who's a noble & honorable warrior with Bangoo to raise.I personally have a massive distaste for Rock, but I will be respectful: To Rock fans, what exactly is it that you like about him, and what is it that makes it seem like him making it in over other more popular characters would be a good idea? He seems like a genuine waste of a slot to me, he's never had an interesting personality or storyline (ie outshined by other characters who would be a better fit in the restricted base roster), he's never exactly been top of the tiers in gameplay (which I know is half-irrelevant as they can fix this), and he just is not as popular as other characters who could be sacrificed if he was to make it in. So why do you guys think it's a good idea for him to be here instead of someone else? Genuinely curious and admittedly would be quite annoyed if he was to be in the base roster instead of someone like Cassandra or Tira or Raphael, speaking for myself.
Now, to address the issue of unpopularity, i'm fully aware he needs to be changed. Preferably a brand new weapon entirely. Dual axes, giant flail, whatever but he does need something. So i'm effectively talking about a brand new character in that regard. He can keep the name, some old moves maybe, but everything else will be fresh and new.
This way we kind of please two different types of people.
I will be very honest with you, I'm not a huge Rock fan, but you're downright callous about the guy, get a grip.Snip.
There was nothing polite about @Keiichi Del Rey 's post. I guess that's why she deleted it.I love how politely stating why one dislikes Rock and does not want him in is now considered "whining", GG.
I don't think that would please many people at all tbh. People who don't like Rock would be annoyed they recycled the old boring guy who's had his chance and failed instead of making an actual new character, while people who liked Rock for his moveset don't have the thing they liked most about him. All it would satisfy is people who liked Rock for his design but don't like his moveset which from what I gather are very few.
That's how he's different from Lizardman for example, Lizardman stands out as the animal of the roster and is nice to have around design-wise but there'd always been complaints about him being yet another shield character, so a new fighting style works well for him.
I still can't believe people here actually think that Rock is coming back lol

The game being a reboot and going back to SC1 events is exactly why I think this is the perfect time to overhaul the character as they did with Seung-Mina (and will probably do with Hwang if he comes back). The game being a reboot and going back to SC1 events is exactly why I think we could see Rock gone for good
Well 3 and 4 did have interesting ideas since they completely reworked the character, and 5 cut out like half the roster so I'm not sure it's exactly a lack of ideas that's responsible for his omission there. 2 is a curious case since he wasn't the only legacy character missing: Sophitia, Mina, Lizardman, Siegfried, Hwang, and Rock were all skipped in the original arcade release, and the few who were added to the home console release were just copypasted from SC1. So I'm not really sure I agree with the idea that he's ever been missing from a Soul Calibur game because he was "uncharismatic" or "uninteresting" as people have been saying. Rock has been in four of the six mainline games and he's only missed the games where a bunch of characters were cut.but they couldn't think of anything interesting for Rock to do in SCII or III or IV or V, why would they suddenly have a bunch of great ideas now?
Nah. I think he just needs more meat in his fighting style, especially since SCIV stripped him almost completely to the bone and left him completely outclassed by Astaroth and stuck in the bottom five of that game.Rock is like a design flaw, if other characters weren't so flamboyant, he would fit in better. He needs to be more ... something. Less brown maybe? XD
